I'd disagree. Munchak had the same problems his last year at QB (hurt and a revolving door) as Whiz but Munchak won 7 games. Whiz and Webster 'added' talent and promptly won 2...the lowest in the history of the organization.

If wins are the determining factor, Munchak did a lot more with less talent his final year than Whiz did last year. Remember, Munch was essentially fired for going 7-9. Whiz goes 2-14 and is NOT on the hot seat???:disappointed:

    Yes and no.

If you play defense, tackling is fundamental. Are you telling me we have 6 LB's who can't tackle? That's on the COACHES to teach, rep, practice and DEMAND!!! And this goes to Whiz's biggest problem even though it was one of the things he said would be a staple of the team. ACCOUNTABILITY!!!

If players are not held accountable for their play, you get sloppy play. If players realize I need to do my job and do it well (be where I'm supposed to be and arrive at the BC with bad intentions and TACKLE!!!) or I will have no job. People always wonder how a guy like Parcells can come to a 2-14 team with 'no talent' and then they suddenly are a decend or better team. He demands effort and for people to do their jobs or get off my field and you can go sell cars.

The fact that Griff or Levitre or anyone else doesn't get benched for poor play or lack of effort is mind boggling. And that's the culture the COACHING staff creates when you don't hold players accountable.

I have some coaching tapes from Gregg Williams back in '99/2000 when we ran the 46 and were pounding people and as he was watching cutups and showing things in game film, he saw one of our CB's not doing the right thing. But he didn't blame the player, he said it's on the coaches to correct those mistakes so they don't happen on the field. If he's doing it on the field, it's because the coach let it happen.

In other words, you need to train/teach/rep the players so they don't make these mistakes. Now, that was a player not reconizing a chance in formation but something as simple as tackling is all about effort and accountability!!!

When we get accountability on this team, we will see the effort and excellence improve drastically!!!

And if Whiz though ZB can't tackle, then he needs to ride Webster to get him someone who can!!!

If our guys are missing tackles again its going to be because we aren't practicing tackling during the week, thats a coaching problem

Deep breaths, exhale slowly. You have titanitis, causes red face and shortness of breath and extreme moodiness. Isolation is the only know cure, but winning is also rumored to help, however, this theory has yet to be proven correct.
