Their team is very different from last year and they have to be normal and not keep 8000 linemen because of last year's injuries. They have unusual depth at LB and TE which will affect things, as will keeping two FBs.

If McCluster can be replaced on returns, I think he's gone.

Turzilli is doing very well and Long has had moments too. They will both be picked up by other teams if they're dropped. They won't be PS. Same for McBride. I can't imagine them losing all three and watching them prosper elsewhere. Those two will inadvertently needle them into keeping McBride.

Also though, it's early. McBride needs to get his feet wet. He might show he needs to (not just make the team but) play during the season, by the end of camp.

There's still a lot to play out. I, for one, still think a trade or two are possible.

No Cobb is downright bad at pass blocking. There's articles (even made up GIFs) of Croom hollering at him. Sankey has been better. Fowler messed up and then improved right away-Croom was on him, then clapping so good job rook. Cobb doesn't seem to get it just yet.

Cobb had a very good last practice after being clotheslined by Bleeding. Did the light go on? 25 yard run and a pounding spinning 6 yarder that was impressive. He has not been very good thus far.

Andrews has barely been there the longest and they treat him like the veteran. He's been the best all around back thus far.

The get'r done guy isn't necessarily the big play guy or the pounder they want so this has to play out some.

At Alabama(a top program) Fowler was a RB his freshman year. He can run hard and move piles.
The way I understand it, the frustration leads to Andrews or Fowler going in and doing it the right way.

Cobb has been out with a hammy tweak. If he struggled week one and the light went on and he's all set...no one will remember week one of camp. If he continues to struggle he is wayyyy more of a risk to make this team than anyone is letting on.

He's a 5th rounder, not a first. People keep acting like he's some first round stud.
If he stinks, McCluster has a shot again.

This is what they drafted/signed- four RBs that can run well between the tackles and pound the ball. Sankey was horrid and had happy feet going nowhere last year but his Washington tape is full of tough runs. Andrews had more production than just about everyone in college as a grinder. Fowler and Cobb can also move piles. This is Steeler-esque. It's from the coach that was with the Steelers and had Steeler backs in Zona. Sankey is absolutely the blue chip here. He has way more speed and quicks than the others. He has to fail before the others get the rock; there's little patience for Sankey but he will get first crack at it

Still convinced that Andrews is most likely the best back on the roster.

Year in and year out every team talks about "competition" and earning your spot. Some coaches and teams actually do start and play players that they feel give the team the best chance to win, regardless of draft status or because they were a highly prized free agent.

I honestly can't trust the Titans being one of those teams.

I have zero faith in Sankey in running, pass blocking, etc. I'd be more pumped about bringing back the ghost of Chris Henry.

Won't be surprised when Antonio outplays Sankey in pre-season but when the regular season starts we get to see ole' Bishop running for 3.1 ypc again and getting blown up on pass protection.

Wasn't Woodward benched for Avery last year?

You are going to give high draft picks a chance to play. That's just how the nfl works. Andrews will get his shot.

Sankey will be our 1, Andrews 2, and hopefully Cobb holds off Mccluster for the 3. I never want to see Mccluster on offense

Loved McCluster when he played at Ole Miss, liked how the Chiefs used him in KC, but he was a total bust for us. The success I saw him in with the Chiefs was when he was used to catch the ball in the slot. He has never been a power running back, but more of a gimmick player IMO. I say cut our losses and cut him.

No Avery played in place of Zach Brown. But I believe he is taking his spot this year.

Antonio hopefully gets the 2nd back with Cobb getting the 3rd. I watched every game of the Antonio's career at WKU. He doesn't have the elite top end speed, but he's just hard to tackle. He's a good returner as well though I would like to see the late round receiver take that role.
