If this team had a good quarterback on it last year, lets say Roethlisberger for example. How much better would they have been?

I don't think he regressed from last year. He just looked good amongst the other qb's we had last year on the team.

We have a new benchmark in town to compare him to.

    Still terrible.

By the end, about half the roster consisted of guys working at McDonald's now.

Bad roster combined with a terrible case of the injury bug.

They weren't a QB away from being good.

The good news is, the week 1 roster will be night and day from the week 17 roster from last year.

Hard to say. A good QB puts other players in positions to be better also. Converting 3rd downs, or even being in 3rd and short yardage situations where RBs could convert would have made a difference for sure. I hate to say one player makes a difference but sometimes the small things help the whole team work.

That being said, this team was bad all around last year. I don't think they were 2-14 bad. But obviously that's the way it worked out. A good QB wouldn't have put the Titans in the playoffs. Mett wasn't the reason they lost 14 games.

It was a BEAUTIFUL night tonight. Some really good things to be excited about. I wrote about the highlights, including the fights here. I got some video of the fights which are linked in the article to my twitter account where you can watch it.

There's not a QB on this planet that could've won more than 6 games with our team last year.

With an elite QB, we would've beaten the Browns, Jags, and Redskins. Pretty sure those were the only close losses we had, off the top of my head. So that's 5-11.

"There was one pass where Mariota threw the ball on a rope and absolutely threaded the needle to Harry Douglas"

Maybe he is Aaron Rodgers with legs. Good stuff. Thanks for the recap...couldn't find it anywhere else.
