Floyd Reese on 2007 Draft (VY draft)

Thank God.. I thought you had lost your GD mind.

 

No, Haloti Ngata would have been the best pick for us.. If VY, Reggie Bush, or Leinart is ever your best option with a top 5 pick... you might as well not make a pick. That was the most overhyped top 5 players I have ever seen, and none lived up to the hype. And Ngata, taken well later, was the only player worth a top 3 pick.

 

I knew I would be walking all in pigeon chit saying that about VY lol.

 

Crazy to think what might have been if we hadn't taken VY at #3.

 

We probably have a Super Bowl championship with Cutler here, but he wasn't and we don't and it doesn't matter.

 

I know this doesn't matter, but I have to point out that VY was drafted in 2006, not 2007.

2007 was Griffin.

Hard to believe it's been over 9 years ago when VY was drafted.

 

He wouldn't have been able to be a game manager on the 2008 team. He still would've been slinging the ball around and throwing too many picks.

As bad as Collins may have been at times, he was better than what Cutler would've been for us in 2008 IMO... even if Cutler is the better QB.

KFC actually played smart most of the season because our defense and running game were so dominant. Cutler would've forced passes too often and it's not exactly like we had many weapons in the receiving game for him. He's always had good WRs. Gage was our best WR then. Lol

 

If VY had worked out like many had hoped or many thought he would ( myself included) we could have taken JJ Watt instead of Locker

 

Man, Locker was such a let down for me. He was exactly who I wanted us to take. I have never been so wrong about a player. I was on dingleberry level with that guy. Class 5 clinger.......
