DGB saying the right things so far

The draft was excellent, they got great value late which hasn't been the case for a decade or more. Not having to tight rope Pronger's contract to LTIR will save some headaches for sure.

Outside of the terrible Hartnell/Umberger trade, I've loved everything Hextall has done. He drafts well, gives out reasonable contracts and isn't a drunk like Homer. He inherited a cap mess, but he's cleaning it up fairly well. There's only so much he can do under the cap, but it's not like it was a good UFA class anyway.

Oh, and I was yelling at the tv when NJ was picking at 6. I had a gut feeling they'd take Provorov and he'd torment the Flyers for the next decade. I was so happy he fell, and then the trade up for Konecny was genius because the next 3 teams were going to pick him.

 

It really was...That worried me too. I wouldn't be surprised to see him start in the next year...He is sick....and Konecny outside the concuss issues, is fast, gritty, and has nasty puck handling skills. Hex did very well. That was outright insane. I couldn't believe he got both and dumped Prongers salary...Outright Genius moves.

Agreed. The other 2 at least have sure hands. And we have a lot of options at receiver in the slot.

What's wrong with Hockey Deuce? Best playoff action of any sport...Have to be tough, and non stop action.

 

Ive watched 3 hockey games the last 2 years, all 3 games were fun to watch, but just cant stick with it for whatever reason

 

It's fine for a filler sport. That's about it though.

Hard to watch. Season's way too long. No superstars (to the casual fan).

 

Yeah I don't watch a full season or anything, but playoff hockey is intense and fun. Players go all out and genuinely love the game. Try it out some time. At least playoff hockey that is.
