fair enough....but to act like this kid isn't a better natural prospect than Locker or Young, you would have to be borderline mongoloid. Just watch his natural skill, he is more accurate (it shows) and he hasn't been injury riddled (hopefully doesn't become). It won't be hard to surpass either of those knuckleheads. I believe he will be just fine.

 

Yea IDK how you can look at MM and not see how much better he is than the last 3 QB's we drafted for the job. Young, Locker, and Mett together dont make up one Marcus Mariota, and thats the truth lol.

 

Wish it would hurry up and get here.

it isn't even close man.....I don't even care about the fact that he may need a few years and all that...I am talking strictly ability, along with proven stats and play on the field, paired with his leadership/ethic....They aren't even close. Hopefully, it plays out on the field a the NFL level.

Mariota isn't much different at all from Vince Young or Jake Locker.

Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll work out. Hopefully. But pretending he's such a better QB prospect coming out of college is a stretch.

Same strengths and weaknesses both those guys had.

 

Way off...and I am sorry to say it. Statistically, we have have went over this before at the college level. Neither Young or Locker (especially Locker) had the numbers or proven accuracy of Mariota. I am not saying that Marcus isn't raw, and physically he compares, but apples to apples, they are much different. Locker sucked coming out. Plain and simple.

 

Your stats mean nothing because you don't factor in Oregon's system vs Washington's or Texas'.

Again- they all have the same strengths and weaknesses.


None of them could hit a moving target. All of them had issues throwing from the pocket and from under center. All were great athletes.

Only thing Mariota has on them is that he's smarter.
