Titans' Delanie Walker: We should be a great team

Hilton is possibly gone after 2015, it's imperative they give Luck weapons. They seem to do alright every year without a good OLINE or defense, so taking a WR was probably the wise move for them this past draft..

 

Ehhhh...I agree that they do alright, but it's not getting them over the hump. They could have added a key defensive piece, then went WR next year. It's not like Dorsett was that amazing they couldn't pass up...He is a burner with a small body. I doubt they let T.Y go anywhere

 

They shouldn't be a Super Bowl team, but with the AFC so weak right now, I still think they're the favorite.

And you like Gore and Johnson being on their team? I assure you that you won't be saying that by midseason. They're gonna have a huge impact on that team. They may not have much left in the tank, but they have plenty to give this season, at the very least.

 

I think Johnson will be more effective of the two...I do think he will help, but like I said, not for the long term. Until Luck shows me otherwise in the post season against GOOD teams, I am holding my stance....6 games, 12 INT's, and below average pass percentage. On the flip side, maybe Johnson, Dorsett, and Gore change that. I guess time will tell.

I wouldn't say we have "holes" really.. only at RT. OLB/CB depth perhaps.

The problem is we are lacking proven talent, especially on the offense. We are counting a lot on unknowns, at QB/RB/RT/C/WR2-4. If we get a couple of people to step up and become studs we could have a good team. Just a lot to count on in one year.

I could us winning anywhere from 3-9 games this year. Could be a fun year to watch who steps up and who doesn't.

The "proven" players we have are only like Walker, Wright, Warmack?, Casey, McCourty, Orakpo+Morgan (though injury concerns for Orak).

 

Gore is done imo. He will be decent but not the reason they will win any games.

Johnson is average. I think he will lose snaps to the rookie as the season progresses.

 

Trust me... I've always been on Luck for sucking ass in the playoffs and can't believe how many "experts" are blind to this.

But with a better running game and another big receiving threat (and their only true redzone threat at that), I feel like they'll make it one game further this time around regardless of how Luck may suck at times in the playoffs.

I don't think they'll win it all, but I still think they'll get there.

 

People have been thinking Gore is done for a long time now... He managed to top 1000 yards in an awful offense with an awful OL and awful QB play last year. He was essentially the only thing about their offense that kept them in games.

 

After going 2-14 what do you realistically expect? If the Titans go .500 with a rookie QB and a relatively young roster, I'll be thrilled personally.
