I think soccer is what made me good at most sports.

It's kind of a bridge in a lot of aspects.

 

It's a tough sport and requires stamina, coordination, skill, and power. I can definitely see that

 

Requires more stamina than any other sport. Sooooo much running. Non stop movement.

 

Soccer really is a simple sport. The hard part is the stamina and conditioning to maintain good positioning and to be able to perform the simple/correct plays, passes,etc at a high level for a full 90+ minutes.

 

Definitely good for footwork and movement. Tennis is also good to development good footwork. Soccer is non stop moving, unless goal keeper.

 

I used to play soccer as well. It's amazing how much other people suck at using their feet. Even just playing catch my friends can't stop a low throw with their feet at all. I can usually kick it back up to my hands on the fly. I can see soccer helping a lot at just basic footwork stuff. Just knowing where your feet are and where they need to be.

 

It's a gateway sport
