But I wouldn't be surprised if this is his last serviceable year, and I wasn't in the position to draft a top back. So if I could get younger, and sacrifice a little, then the tradeoff was worth it.

Because in two years I would be out a starting back anyway and Bell is older as well. I moved out of a really tough spot a year or two from now.

Consider yourself very lucky you accepted the trade when you did because SDM and I had just agreed on a deal that would've killed the deal for you.

But go ahead and offer him Sankey for 2.9 as soon as the trade goes through. That's part of the deal.

 

You literally sent the offer the exact same minute 520 accepted your deal. Probably 30 seconds was the difference. I was just about to hit accept.

Well, I have managed to acquire Big Ben, Lynch, and got my #4 pick back.

I'd say I've done a pretty good job here...

He's gonna have 6 picks in the top 26 now. If he's smart with the picks he'll find at least a couple starters and solid depth along the way.

I'm not even sure I remember how I managed to gain Big Ben, Lynch, get my #4 pick back, and still have a 2nd round pick too.

I think it's a decent deal for everyone. RSB gets 1.4. 520 gets his coveted picks. I get a starting RB for a pick that's probably gonna net someone like David Johnson or Devon Funchess.

I'm not high on Sankey in general but feel he's worth the risk at this price. The talent is there and I'm severely lacking in the young RB department.
