No arguement there, a person has to maximize their earning potential, hes no ex pro bowler or legend of the game. His analyst opportunities will be limited.

Vy was unsuccessful because he couldn't handle the grind of the nfl and from what I've heard and read he didn't work very hard. His intellect, was also seemingly an issue.

Locker couldn't stay healthy and with that be couldn't really progress as a nfl player. Also just a side bar, i heard him speak at a Christian youth thing and he sounded pretty dumb.

I have only heard him in football related interviews. Sounded smart enough to me.

Did not strike me as the Plato reading type though...

The more I learn about their spread offense the more impressed I am by the quick decision making they make their QB's do. Obviously everyone knows that they do a zone read and read one player, but they do run a version of the triple option (a zone read to one side and an option to the other if the QB keeps it) which requires quick back to back reads as was one of the plays in the show in which Mariota reads and if he keeps it, reads another defender to either keep it again or throw a lateral to an uncovered WR (defender can't take Mariota and the WR out wide).

The quick decision making will bode well for him in developing more as a pocket passer. Also, we may very well see some of these plays in our offense this season. And BTW, because the zone read is SO effective for their run game, it is a major reason why so many teams play quarter coverage against them and why they have various ways to attack it! It's also why the S's are in such a bind...do they move up to stop the run, widen to account for the bubble screen or drop deep to take away the post down the middle?

So you're saying Nick Marshall has the intellect to play QB in the NFL because he could run the zone read and triple option?

We're talking about the wishbone offense here...cmon Gut! Jk
