McBride has return skills which will help him earn a roster spot. Nicks is going to have to outplay DGB and Hunter to earn a roster spot.

I'm really excited about the offense this year. Really interested to see how the OL shakes out.

Exactly....Previously injured, and buried behind two bigger up and coming receivers.

I am interested to see how the OL pans out as well. I am still VERY nervous. Levitre sucks, Schwenke is average, and Poutasi is built like a Guard. They have got to get this line thing figured out. I am still somewhat shocked that they only addressed one spot in the draft on the OL. Crazy to me considering how atrocious they were last year. How Levitre is still here is beyond me..Money or not.

I have not seen anyone have McBride with anything lower than a 4th rnd grade on him. I think he fell simply due to numbers. WR was especially deep in this draft and while there is only about a half a round of 1st rnd caliber players, there is usually over a round or 2 of 3rd rnd or 3rd/4th round rated players. Even more 4th round rated players so if he had a 4th rnd grade, he could still go in the 6th or 7th or even go undrafted simplay due to the sheer number of players ranked at a similar level, the huge depth at WR in this draft, and the fact that the closer to the end of the draft, the more teams target needs over pure talent (as the Titans did).

I'm excited we got him as he was one of the guys that were really talked up at the East West Shrine game. And we took quite a few guys from that game (McBride, Poutasi, Mount, Deon Long, Derick Lott) and the Senior Bowl (Fowler, Cobb, Prewitt).

I expect McBride to make the team and maybe knock Nicks off the roster. McBride can play inside or out, can return kicks, and be the gunner on special teams!

I'm excited to see our new offense but also very nervous regarding our OL, run game, what Whiz is gonna add in from the Spread and how he will playcall it, and how much he caters to Mariotas strengths vs how much he forces him to 'learn' of his pro style offense in year 1.

I don't have a ton of faith that Poutasi can handle RT at a solid or better level but I think XP showed in a post last year or year before how many of the better RT players came in the mid-later rounds so maybe he can do it. I'm not sold on Levitre's poor play the last 2 years being from injuries so I doubt he improves this year. Schwenke hasn't been able to stay healthy so, a lot of IF's on the OL and that creates a lot of IF's for our offense!

Hopefully we will have an exciting offense this year but I hope the excitement is not from Mariota running for his life because the OL is playing poorly!

Mason also did next to nothing outside of special teams his first few years.

If Nate Washington can go on to become the guy he ended up being, and Mason too, then I might like to see this kid make the team. Both Mason and Washington made significant progress after year-1

Mason's production also regressed in year three before skyrocketing in year four.
