I know the feeling. I jacked up my shoulder a week and a half ago and then got sick. So haven't worked out since. Weights been fluctuating though. I'll go off the rails eating one day then not eat enough the next day.

Do you weigh yourself at the same time of the day every time? Weight can fluctuate pretty wildly throughout a given day so IMO it's best to weigh first thing in the morning.

ya i weigh myself first thing in the a.m. that whole ting was just crazy cuz i went from not eating for a few days to stuffing my face with olive garden and i think the next day my bro was in town for some reason and we went to a mexican restaurant so i held mad water from those few days. it sure was annoying tho.

i actually weigh myself like hourly lol but i use the first of each day as my comparisons

Better to weigh yourself once a week in the morning, say Monday. Looking at a scale all day tends to get obsessive and can derail a diet at times.

Lol I can't help it. I'm totally obsessive. I wanna see just how much everything I beat and drink impacts me in a hour two hours four hours etc. I don't know why.

I ****ed my back up real bad on a squat rack freshman year football. Felt, and heard an audible pop, and dropped all the weight. Gave myself a few minutes thinking it was nothing and was 50lbs weaker on my reps. A bruise along my lower spine appeared a few days later and stayed for some time. Ever since then, I kind of backed off anything serious on squats.

    It wasn't anything that bad.

It was the last rep of my last set. I was tired. Tried to get out of the hole and my weight went a little forward on to my toes. Instead of just failing the rep I tried to go up and back at the same time. Felt a pull when I finished the rep.

A week of ice didn't do anything. After a few days of heat packs it's almost back to normal. Not doing anything heavy right now, but was just itching to get back at it.

I want a three-plate squat. Once I get to 315 I'll probably load weight less aggressively.
