    McBride should be over DGB.

DGB should be last. He'll be lucky to find PT this year unless he learns ST's.

One of my coworkers is a serious Falcon homer, and he was very upset that they lost Douglas. He said he will contribute day one and turn a lot of heads. I smiled at his comment and remade the bet that I lost $20 on last year that we would have more wins than the falcons. We can get 5 wins right!?

    DGB
    Mcbride
    Wright (Slot)
I seen plenty of tape on him and I think he will be special...

Are we getting the Justin Hunter that couldn't be stopped in the preseason or the one who couldn't do a damn thing during the regular season...

I expect a BIG jump in year 3 and am not ready to give up on him yet... We drafted him in the 2nd and we gave up a valuable pick on top of that to move up and get him... I need him to become what we expected and drafted him to become...

I mean I recall from last year's preseason, he was the player I was MOST impressed with, by far... He caught literally everything thrown his way or drew a PI when he didn't... I thought he was heading for a 1400+ and 10TD+ season... I know, I know, preseason blah blah, but still, I was very impressed regardless.

    Now for the depth chart:

    3-WR sets
1 - DGB: I put him at #1 only b/c of his size. Opposing #1 CBs are usually the more physical CB on the team as well, which is why I want him there. I want to see him really grow into his size and put to bed those comments about people saying he plays smaller...

2 - JH: I put him at #2 b/c I want him to burn opposing #2 CBs... He needs to gain another 5-10 pounds IMO, as even after last year's bulk up, he still was too small and getting pushed around... But I don't want him to lose that speed either... And like i said, its year 3 Justin, time to e'ffin PUT UP

3 - KW: He's always in the slot... I want to see a QB lead him with some nice passes to give him some space to make plays after the catch (something Lock just couldn't do). And Ken, I want to see more creative / better play design that allows for such...

    2WR
1 - Hunter / Harry / DGB / Nicks: Who ever shows to be the best over camp in Ken's system with Marcus should start / get the most reps in this set...

2 - KW: Till someone proves to be better, he needs to be on the field as much as possible. The only option we had better than him in terms of offense last year was Walker... And Walker should be on the field for 100% of the snaps, unless he needs a breather...

In my opinion, we need to play a lot of 3WR + 1TE + 1RB sets... It fits Marcus spread 'mindset', while still being a pro offense for Ken. Plus it puts our best players on the field...

And again, I just can't give up on Hunter yet, but if he doesn't put up and produce fast, then we have Douglas / DGB / Nicks ready to take his spot.

I didn't talk about Mcbride, but if he can BUST OUT and be a diamond like Finny from the 7th, I'll be ecstatic...

I think that's the scenario we should hope for (assuming we've seen all we're gonna get out of Hunter). But I think hoping for not only one, but two, rookie receivers to be good enough to start year 1 is most likely unrealistic.

I agree. I do think Hunter will take a step back ultimately. I hope I am wrong, but I don't see him outplaying Douglas, and Wright will be in the slot. They spent a 2nd pick on DGB and he will see the field often for both skill and pure size/talent/ability. That leaves Hunter behind the pack. He is under the 8 ball big time, especially if McBride comes in and balls out. Nicks is about the only one he SHOULD outplay.

I think it's safe to say the Justin Hunter we saw during the regular season is much more the reality than the Justin Hunter we saw during the preseason. During the preseason, most everyone worth a damn is just going through the motions. Which IMO can lead to these guys with great physical gifts but not enough physicality (e.g. Justin Hunter) to look much better than they are. But when it's a game that counts and he's got a #1 CB across from him and a safety ready to take his head off its a different story.

I think Hunter needs to get bigger and more physical if he wants to really make it in this league. The "bigger" part can be fixed fairly easily. The "more physical" part sometimes cannot be learned. You either have that in you or you don't.

I think the fact that we brought in a #2 caliber free agent WR, and spent a high 2nd on DGB is pretty telling as to what this staff thinks of Justin Hunter and his future here.

Exactly....He has hands down been pushed to the back of the pack, unless he really shows improvement.

The main thing I love about McBride?

You want to talk about a "GO GETTER" in terms of a receiver...
