I was stunned to learn the teams supplies and used their own balls....

    just crazy.

have the refs show up at games with a bag of NFL approved balls. I mean it should not be more complicated than this.

you know what if Brady himself intercepted those balls and took them into the toilet to deflate them personally I would have mad respect for the act but still abhor the cheating.

but TB used the lowest level employee to do his dirty work for literally nothing. Shoes he gets paid to wear, signing his name on one of the deflated balls, ect...

that he was willing to jeopardize others is galling. Granted there was probably no other way which is why I am glad he will be punished. Should have just pounded the ponies 54-0

Some rules are good, like holding and pass interference (real interference), horse collar, and many others, but a ball rule on weight? Dumb

Like you said before...hard to believe the biggest sports league in the US a MULTI BILLION dollar a year business allows the teams to handle things this way. Take it to another level why a range of PSI....why not 12.5 or whatever...don't even leave it open ended. BTW, I spoke with our head coach at our school and he says that this goes on at ever level including high school.

I'm no Patriot fan, but I think the penalty is excessive. I think it is crazy that the teams have any interaction with the game balls anyway. These guys get paid insane money to play a game on Sunday 20 times a year (not including playoffs). The rest of us have to go to work and deal with whatever our employer asks of us. The least they can do is learn to throw with the same amount of air in the ball. That aside, to suspend a hall of fame QB on speculation for 4 games is insane. The league needs a commissioner who will head off problems before they happen instead of reacting to them after the fact. Part of the problem here is Goodell likes the attention that being the football czar brings him. He is reactionary when he should be preventive. If you see a potential problem you don't lay a trap for it and air it publicly, you set about correcting it behind the scenes so it doesn't negatively impact your product.

Well the only way the other team notices is if they get their hands on your 'balls.' So unless there is a fumble or interception, how would you notice. Each team uses its own balls.
