This league is becoming like some PC version of the WWE apparently. What an absolute joke here.

I'm just curious on that aspect. I have a legit hard time believing the colts were the only ones that noticed.

My next question is about gloves on the throwing hand.....why are they ok?

“‘I like to push the limit to how much air we can put in the football, even go over what they allow you to do and see if the officials take air out of it,'” Simms said Rodgers told them before the game.

Simms pointed out that Rodgers is the exception.

“Everybody wants it smaller and soft, so they can dig their fingers into,” Simms said. “[Rodgers is] such a feel thrower. You can tell. The one touchdown he threw down the field to the tight end is such feel; then he flicks it. That shows you he just has great control of it, with his fingers and hand.”

I do as well....my guess is that it is because other QBs do the same thing (Aaron Rodgers likes the balls inflated higher from what I hear, for example).

Didn't Brad Johnson admit to similar actions before his Super Bowl back in 2002?

Every team tampers with the footballs,” Matt Leinart said on Twitter. “Ask any Qb In the league, this is ridiculous!!”

Leinart then carved out one exception: “Actually my guy @kurt13warner didn’t tamper w the footballs because he wore gloves,” Leinart said. “Used to irritate me..So correction, almost all QBs!

    There your glove question

Quarterbacks are particular about the footballs they use. In 2006, Peyton Manning and Tom Bradyteamed up to lobby the NFL competition committee to allow each team to provide its own footballs for games, so they could be to the quarterbacks’ liking. Home teams provided all the balls before that, and quarterbacks didn’t like the differences in the balls for each road game. The committee passed it, and now each team provides 12 balls for officials to inspect two hours and 15 minutes before the game.

    - funny how it dates back to 2006 so well.

Warner was a fumbling machine before wearing gloves, so they pretty well resurrected his career after around 2003 I guess. BUT, that is ok.....he did not play for Belicheat, so all is good.

Again.....just an absolute and complete joke. Spy novel disguised as a "report", using towel snapping level texts as "evidence", then assuming f-ing gauges to be some precision level measuring instrument as a basis to levy this kind of penalty....just a joke IMO.

Maybe Goodell should hire Vince McMahon for PR here....it is getting to that level IMO.

It will be interesting to see if Kraft submits to this....my guess is that he may so that the NFWWE can continue to burnish its "shield" here, but he certainly has grounds for a very interesting appeal and/or civil suit here IMO.
