Yeah, mett is so good that b/c he won sooooo many games, the coaches didn't feel the need to draft a QB! Brilliant!

 

Actually, at least two because he isn't starting here.

 

mariota is RGIII without being a diva. he'll be a big splash his rookie year then he'll get figured out. will he adjust to the nfl his third or fourth year and actually read a defense and be accurate in tight areas? i doubt it. theres a reason spread/read option QBs don't work.

and no i'm not a mett lover. have no clue if he'd be any better as a statue.

When you're negative and root against or expect the worst from Marcus Mariota being the Titans franchise QB, then Zach Mettenberger comes in to play.

When Zach Mettenberger comes in to play, he is a statue pocket passer with overrated accuracy, pocket awareness and in reading the defense.

When Zach Mettenberger is inaccurate, he overthrows/underthrows his WR's, INT's, can't convert 3rd downs and is prone to getting sacked often.

When Zach Mettenberger is prone to getting sacked often, he gets put on IR like he has the past two seasons.

When Zach Mettenberger gets put on IR, you have to put up with Charlie Whitehurst for the rest of the season.

Don't put up with watching Charlie Whitehurst during the 2015-16 NFL Season.

Don't be negative about Marcus Mariota and upgrade to having hope in a potential Tennessee Titans franchise QB.

My only concern with Mariota is his ability to make adjustments after the snap. He can read a defense, that's evident if you watch any of his games. He makes a read at the line, calls an audible or changes protection patterns, snaps the ball, makes a quick decision, and then quick throw. In the NFL, he'll have to read the defense more after the snap and will have to make efficient adjustments. This is concerning as a rookie, not so much after he gets more and more comfortable with our offense. I'm not sure if I should really be concerned with him being figured out since he makes a lot of throws from within the pocket anyway but still has crazy athleticism to save plays as well. It's not like he's a Vick who over relies on his feet or is a Cutler type guy who has stone feet and relies on his arm too much.

Yes, Oregon's offense is QB friendly but some people act like he casually walks up to a play, hikes the ball while dipping his hawaiian pizza in ranch, runs out of the pocket to google Mad Men finale theories, and then throws a 2 yard dump off that will go for a 95 yard TD pass.
