Not really. Fowler has good hands as a receiver but he's not a good route runner like Walker. Fowler is an excellent lead blocker, power runner, and blitz pick up guy.

For some reason, my post got narc on. Not even sure what was said that was offensive but whatever.

I will re-iterate, the people really hyping this pick are Bama fans. I don't trust that.

Best hope if that Falston is a quality gadget player for us, but we hear the same things about Stevens/Taylor and we've all seen how that turns out.

    FB 4th round boooo.

Reminds me a lot of Ahmard Hall. Has good size on him an ability to be a power runner. Could be a great blocker if he doesn't pan out to be a good 3rd down back.

Can anyone name the top 5 fullbacks in the NFL? Where were they drafted?

Can anyone name how often WHIZ has used a FB during his head coaching time?

I don't doubt that Fowler may be a good player, but as a FB who will see at most 8 offensive snaps per game, it just really seems like a terrible waste of a pick. I could argue that drafting a Long Snapper would've been a better investment

Lol only thing worse than taking a fb in the 4th is taking mariota 2nd overall.

Y'all get caught up in what round a player is taken too much. If he's a good player, who cares? Sometimes later picked players turn out better than players taken in the first couple or rounds. Every player is a gamble.

I would guess that the Titans had a specific plan for Fowler and they saw zero other FB's that could do what they had planned for him. Therefore, they knowingly reached a bit for him to ensure they landed him.

Right, so wouldn't you take a gamble on a player like Tj Clemmings?

If you hit on him, you have a starting RT to go along with your future star LT. That impacts the team tremendously.

You hit on Fowler does he really make or break your team??

That's exactly what I said when we drafted him. FB could be a key component of our offensive plan in 2015. They could've had him ranked as far and away the best FB and didn't want to gamble on him being there with their next pick. And if he significantly bolsters our run game this year (be it as a blocker or picking up short yardage downs himself) then he was well worth the pick and probably will have had more of an impact than most other players selected in the 4th round did on their teams. Only time will tell.

Regardless though, I continue to be amazed by how much our fan base will b**** and moan over a damn 4th rounder.
