    That is just brutal. Fowler was my #1 defensive player in the draft so I was looking forward to seeing how he panned out this season.

    Out for the season per Schefter, Eisen and others. Awful, wouldn't wish it on anyone, even if they play for the Jags.

    I wonder how his contract will play into all of this? Will he still get paid this year? Will it count as a year towards free agency?

    Doing some "Twitter research" on the subject....

    1. No he has not signed his contract yet.
    2. I found this tweet from former agent and current writer Joel Corry (never heard of him but he at least seems like he knows what he's talking about) "Unsigned draftees sign agreement before participating in team activities contractually protecting them if injured. Mini-camp agreement will essentially pay Fowler the same fully GTD $23.49M he gets without a serious injury."
