My belief why Marcus has trouble with "NFL Throws"

All facts. I think if we do stuff he is familiar with while adding in pro style reads he might be able to work thru his first year with the average gut check. Just look at rookie qb numbers... 3200 passing yards is gonna be tough sledding I think.

Oh and there's this too...

A system... Within.... A system... This does not sound very cutting edge or adapted TO him. This sounds more like "we are gonna suck and we hope our future QB doesn't get killed while running our Jake Locker offense" aka- simplified dumbed down and routinely made a fool of by defenses playbook and play calling

 

If he sucks he's got mom there to make him soup, he'll be ok even if it's a tough start

 

Mariota seems very casual with his inability to get rattled. His less firey temperament might be the thing that helps him overcome his first couple years
