We booked two drivers thru Hammond tours (ire and uk)and these guys knew all the nooks etc.
I thought I might have enjoyed driving there myself - but after two weeks thank god I didnt.
It was white knuckle at times..

Pretty cool....at first I thought that the shots outside of the Westin in Dublin were while you were recovering from a hangover LOL.

Been to London (been several years now). I like the somewhat more relaxed lifestyle (drinking a beer at lunch while working was really cool). While in town I took a train to Portsmouth (where Allied soldiers were staged for the D-Day invasion), thinking that I could catch a ferry across the channel to Normandy (too late for the ferry though). That town was really cool to tour IMO.

Ireland is on my bucket list, as is a return to London/Portsmouth (this time catching that ferry to Normandy), Scotland, Spain, and Germany.

    Thanks for sharing...

I've been to London previously for work as well as several other spots you mention including Germany..
Honestly, London felt anything but relaxed to me - especially the roadways etc.. Their speed control/ticketing system is more advanced than anything in the states (literally nobody is texting, phoning or even drinking soft drinks while at the wheel). That said, they pay out the ass.

The general feeling I got from English folks is that London will be essentially 100% middle easterners in just a few years. Our Scottish driver was extremely outspoken about this issue..

I was surprised at how formally different Ireland was than England. I was in Ire for 8 days and never saw one person in a printed tshirt or any pop culture swag. A few rugby colors here and there but you could spot a tourist a mile away. The people were very friendly and accomodating.
Beautiful country, great food - and it only rained once. I'd rank it easily as my favorite EU country so far..

Going from Ire to England culturally felt almost like going back to the states.. My treks in London were very specific to horror haunts like the profoundly awesome Highgate Cemetery and Oakley Court - home of about 50 old monster movies including the setting for Rocky Horror. I had to rent a boat to go up the Thames to visit the remote Bray Studios, home of Hammer. That was a pretty cool day as I was surrounded by all the Windsor row teams getting their first sunny spring training in..
A happy accident was the day our driver thought I wanted to go to Pinewood Studios (as I asked for another spot nearby) but we pulled onto Pinewood, on the edge of the woods and they had a massive, wide open film location was set up obviously for a big water setting related film. The driver said it was Aquaman. I have no reason not to believe him...

not trying to black cat you but I totally agree

self drove in Tasmania - crazy curvy roads and that trip to Strahan. Lets just say I attempted to show more confidence than I felt. Circled around the edge of a quarry or something. You could see the road was cut into the side of the cliff because you could see the road above, below and all around you. Some places there were grates where I guess the cliff fell away or something. Will never do that again. On the plus side that was where I took a boat ride into the Antarctic so there was that - LOL

Back to your awesome time lapses and cool music

I would have liked to believe I would have aced the driving - but I'm certain I would have short sided one or two roundabouts (don't think they have a traffic light anywhere outside of a major city in Ireland).
Factor in two easily excited female backseat drivers and you have a recipe for disaster.. :)
I have driven cliffside in remote mountain areas in the states and it is intense to say the least..
