    Settle? lol

I'd take Devin Funchess over DGB in a heartbeat.

Much better player. More natural receiver. Will probably play TE though.

    Funchess actually uses his size.

I'm going to be a YouTube scout here... But from what I've watched he went up for the ball and caught it all hands plenty of times. Looked pretty good after the catch too.

I'll agree he doesn't look like a "polished" receiver, but I don't care how he gets it done as long as he catches the ball and scores.

Of course, the biggest concern is will he make it through camp without being arrested. :D

Well of course highlight videos are going to show everything that is said he cant do, doing it well.

You ever see a basketball player miss a wide-open 3 in a highlight?

Reality is, it isnt often he makes catches with his hands. If qb isnt hitting him in the numbers, he isnt going to be as impactful as people hope.

If he never does it, even highlight videos won't show him doing it though, right? That was the point of my YouTube scout comment, I know you can't tell what a player is all about from a highlight clip. But even if it's a highlight clip, it's showing him doing things that someone claimed he didn't do.

Why do I get the feeling that if we had taken Funchess you would've said that's a horrible pick you'd have taken DGB?

Just going off your history with hating on players.

Usually I'd be right there with you, but this is the first year ever where we at least have some hype after a draft. It's nice for a change. Just try to enjoy it while you can. As fans, we don't have much to enjoy, so I'm gonna love this draft while I still can.

I was not a fan of Mariota for our system, but we pretty much dedicated the entire draft to him, so it's apparent we're going to help him out... something we haven't done a good job of with past QBs.

Call the right plays and incorporate the right type of system and he can be our Russell Wilson. Do I expect this? Not really, but I have to hope.

Either way, I don't expect to be better than 6-10 or 7-9 this season. Just like the look of the future.

That's an indication of just how bad of a team we had. You could say the same for Brady too. Especially Brady actually... considering he has no mobility and would've been carted off on a stretcher midseason.

Again, look at the MNF game against the Chiefs where Brady looked like a Blaine Gabbert. Why was he that bad? His OL was absolute sh*t. He would've looked like that here all season.
