And think about it, spread the field with DGB, Wright, Douglas, and hunter. Pop this guy through the line or better yet send him out of backfield and let him run over people. And he can block. Think this comes into the changes whiz implementing with Mariota . Good pick.

I strongly dislike any of the "GMs are professionals so beyond criticism" negative comments when anyone doesn't like a pick.

And as stated before, 20 starters in last years Superbowl were 4th rounders or later, so these picks are important.

Opinions are like assholes, we've all got them. I like to read both and verbal diarrhea my own.

And put in the big mauler they got in round 3. With this FB and sankey, maybe we can run the ball. Our offense was flat awful . We need changes . Looks like that's what they are doing. Maybe happening because whiz got His QB. Didn't do this for locker. Moving forward. Go Titans.

I totally agree with that. Our GM has proven time and time again that he is not infallible.

Still, I just hate seeing all the negative BS declaring guys busts or wasted picks before they've even touched the field. Somebody in that thread has already definitively declared we will have the worst run game in the league next year.

Actually, I kind of like even giving some consideration to a FB for a change. We really have treated the position as an afterthought since we dumped Lorenzo Neal back in 2000 IMO. It is the 4th round pick, so I am good with this.

Might be nice to have a lead back on a more consistent basis again. Hopefully Whis is planning to use a lead back a little more than last year (although Klug was fun to watch there LOL).

Who makes that argument? I get the feeling this is directed at me for the many times I've argued that it's stupid to say you could be a better NFL GM than an actual NFL GM.

But I have never (and will never) say that it's somehow not permissible to criticize GMs. Of course it is.

I really like watchin' this kid run. I've always loved bruisers and I didn't see him go down on first contact.

    Plus... his nickname is Nudie.

    Championship.

Well yeah, you make that argument a bunch. But in this case, it wasn't directed at you. Your verbal diarrhea has spread to other posters unfortunately.

2 playoffs in 11 years. What awesome professionals that we must all bow down to and never criticize!

Frankly I love this pick. Not sexy, probably too soon. And it's an instant starter for a need.

Obviously this guy is more than just a FB. But just the fact we have been fighting with FAs and nobodies for FB for a few years makes this pick solidifying that positions worth it.

I really wanted Fowler before the draft because I thought he would be a great fit in our offense. Whiz's offense is very similar to Kiffin's so the transition won't be too hard. I thought it was a slight reach but by taking him that early means we have big plans for him early on.

This guy is a human bowling ball of just pure muscle. Even though Alabama had crazy depth and talent at tailback, there were still plenty of touches created for Fowler. We talk about Greene having a great 3rd/4th and short percentage, I don't think Fowler has ever failed on a conversion a yard out. What's most impressive about him is he's the swiss army knife for RBs. He can line up at either 'back position, blocks very well, has good enough vision to take on a few carries a game, has soft hands and is surprisingly a very good pass catcher for his position, and he's not super fast but has a couple nice moves and great athletic ability.

Still think we went a round too early on him but I'm not in our war room. This was a good pick.
