Not a popular pick, but I'm actually excited to see what this kid can do. Some of these runs against Michigan are really impressive.

Yeah I like the pick. People are just mad because the draft isn't going exactly how they wanted it to. This dude could score 10 TDs next season for all we know.

Battle retired, so we essentially drafted an instant start at FB.

Dude can block real well. Probably use him in short yardage situations to either run or block for Sankey. Can also catch well. Probably come out the back field for a check down option.

Hate to be a DB trying to tackle this guy in open field.

He has good hands. Looks like we'll move him around the field a lot. At Alabama if they went shotgun he was often right beside him.

And I imagine we'll use a bit more shotgun this year, so not a bad pick.

For **** sake, is it really that unreasonable to criticize our GM or draft selections? Are you another "the GM is the professional so beyond criticism" type of poster?

These same pro GMs have led us to two playoff appearances in 11 seasons.

I'll go back to the throwing darts at a list of names based on Mel Kipers board would've netted us better players than are actual professional GM draft results and that is pretty real sad.

Not at all. I just thinking complaining on this level (not you in particular, speaking to a handful of people in the draft thread) about mother flippin 3rd day picks is pretty ridiculous and silly. People always just want the biggest names available on day 3 without even really considering that theres probably a reason they are still sitting there.

Day 3 is when you can take risks and projects. And no most of them probably aren't ever going to turn into anything special. Not liking a pick is one thing. But some of these people need to back down off the ledge over a damn 4th round pick.

We did draft the "Best Rated" full back in the draft. Since we use the position I am glad we had a shot at this guy. Good lead blocker, good hands, solid on special teams. He is a contributor. Good Pick !
