Titans entertaining offers for top pick in 2nd round, No. 33. Top teams in round 2 all taking calls. One team interested in coming up: PITT.

I think Ruston was meaning that the top 15-16 picks in the 1st round had 1st round talent. That's why he didn't want to trade out of the top half of the draft.

Big difference between 1st round talent and 1st round grade. Most teams probably think those two guys are talented but not many had the same grade for them.

This supports what I think, which would be great for the Titans if they want him. This is also why I would take Strong. Not sexy from the scouting roundups, but go beneath that surface and watch the tape and listen to the consensus. Nobody would be mad taking this kid in the 2nd round.

You do that, then you're better leveraged to take Gregory in round 3 if he's still available. Otherwise, the draft looks like this:

    1) Marcus Mariota - QB
    2) Dorial Green-Beckham - WR
    3) Randy Gregory - EDGE

There is a chance ALL THREE of those draftees could bust and bust huge. Now, I'm behind the Mariota pick, and would get behind the rest, but you can't ignore the potential for massive busting while looking only at the potential for big success. Then draft La'el Collins in round 4 and see what I really mean? Crazy exciting, but this would almost be like Kramer from Seinfeld is filling in for Webster.

    I got my popcorn, though.

I don't get the dislike of Strong...Dude has arguably the best hands in this draft. No question he is minimally late 1st round talent, and he is big and physical. A ball hawk. Something we don't have, not to mention, no off field baggage. I am not saying others aren't as good etc, but when Delanie Walker is your best receiver and basically every receiver you have is small (Hunter is tall but a string bean) it's a tempting pick. I think they go WR/RT with an outside shot at Gregory..This is gonna be interesting if we don't trade.

The more I read about DGB and Gregory the more I see them as Feast or Famine type of players. Serious concerns for those 2.
