    to acknowledge that Webster and Whiz might be pulling off the biggest smoke screen in recent memory.

    They are either completely enamored with Marcus Mariota or we need to give these guys the credit they deserve.

    The press conference was a magnificent acting job or straight confirmation of the pick.

    • Whiz stating that he would adapt the offense for Mariota if needed.
    • Mariota would be the starter day 1
    So on and so on

    Then look at the complete lack of enthusiasm when talking about Mettenbackup.

    He is not on the Titans Caravan despite obviously being a draw for the fans.

    He has been absent from promotional videos and materials.


    So this is where we stand.

    Webster is secretly a cunning genius and has worked the media, fans and other GMs into a frenzy over trading up and selling the farm to get Mariota all while hiding Mettenbackup.

    or

    Webster and Whiz ain't worried about ****, Mariota is their guy and they will call his name tomorrow night.

    Either way, BRAVO

    Dude, @520 heart going to break if we draft someone to replace Mett. Besides, if they wanted Mariota they have nothing to gain by creating the illusion they do not want him.

    I'll give Webster credit when something good actually happens.

    I'm not going to throw a b*tch fit if we take Mariota, even though I still lean towards him being a bust.

    I would be absolutely furious if we trade back and only end up with the Browns #12 and #19 picks. That would be horrendous.

    They aren't moving unless the deal is sweet.

    They have no reason to do so.

    Either they give you what you want or you stay put and take the QB.


    The smokescreen by Web/Whiz has been fantastic though.

    If we come away with three 1st round picks or even just take Mariota I say BRAVO.

    I don't think anyone actually believes the Titans like Mariota.

    Not that good of a smokescreen...

    Have to disagree with you here, nobody thought we liked mariota months ago. Now is a totally different story, nearly every mock has us taking him now

    Teams wouldn't be calling us trying to trade up if they didn't believe we were interested IMO.

    I think we like Mariota... enough to take him if there isn't a sweet enough deal.

    This is a pretty clear indication the idea the Titans will actually take Mariota isn't working. Teams not falling for the bluff.



    Titans might be able to work out a trade, but it's not because of some genius smokescreen.

    Are people panicking because no deal has been announced? Did people expect a deal to be announced by now? There is no way a deal is being announced before Tampa makes their pick.

    Think about it, guys. When you, a guy sitting on a message board, can say "wow that is a good smokescreen," that means it's a BAD smokescreen.

    If it's a good smokescreen, you don't know it's a smokescreen.

    If you can tell it's a smokescreen, NFL executives can sure as hell tell it's one.
