he said thats basically the average every single year. 12-20 players every year have first round grades

 

None of the edge rushers in the first round scream "steelers"- maybe Beasley. But he gets washed out of the play too often and it pisses me off watch him.

I like Ray but I found I was missing the fact that all of his game was built pre snap. His combine numbers are blahhhhhhh

Well I think most of us are saying the same thing here. That if we are not going to take a QB we are better off to trade down. Even if we do not get an RG3 type deal we will still get extra picks that can be used.

 

That is because Webster was speaking hypothetically.

 

Any trade down has to involve a 1st in next yrs draft plain and simple. That is where I start negotiating and then figure out which other picks we need to make the deal happen. If the team isn't willing to give up next yrs 1st then forget about it.

 

That's what webster said in press conference. Trade would be for this year and the future. Smart to see what one could get for the pick, making the deal is the hard part. I wouldn't give it away unless it was a blockbuster deal.

I totally agree. If the gave us 12 and 19 this year and their first in 2016 I'd jump all over it.
