Now we have to watch Memphis win the first major professional sports championship in the state... ugh.

Nothing at wrong with that. They are a tough blue collar team.

If the Bulls can't beat the Cavs, I will be pulling for the Grizz.

I like the Grizz, but I really don't want them to be the first major pro team in TN to win a championship cause Memphis.

it ought to be a good series between the Hawks and the Wild. The Wild were the team no one wanted to play in the 1st round.
Crawford was well rested which is why he played so good.
IMO the Preds needed to play the backup goalie after the 3 OT game. The starting goalie for the Preds is good but I think he was just worn out.

Putting in Stephen Hawking would've been a better decision than pulling Pekka for Hutton.

The thing that irritated me the most, and maybe I just am not hockey smart, is watching the Preds continuously skate back and collapse toward the goal as the Hawks brought the puck into our zone. They skated easily halfway into the zone before anyone basically faced them up and made them do something with the puck...by then they were setup like they were on a power play.

Was maddening watch it happen over and over and over and wonder why they had so much traffic in front of Pekka and clear shots as a result. And why not stick someone out further on that last faceoff instead of just letting someone stand back there and take that shot.

I don't get it...but what a great season and what promise this team should have being as young as they are.

maybe, maybe not but at least he would have gotten some rest. You can wear a goalie out by playing him every game esp. when one game was almost 2 games

The Wild are definitely no joke. As expected, the Blues COLLAPSE like they always do. It's one thing for the young, no playoff experience Preds to collapse against a tough vet team, but the Blues have failed every year of their almost 50 year existence.

Wild are tough.. Hard to beat a team that peaks right at the perfect time. By March, the Preds were almost out of gas. It looked obvious, but Wild have been playing great hockey recently. Doesn't matter how high seeded the Blues are, you just know they are going to fall face first in the playoffs. Got to be so discouraging as a fan (not that I care about their fans)

Crawford's success in the last game= Preds got more shots on Darling in the 1st, than Crawford saw in the rest of the game. Hawks defense smothered them. Crawford was hardly tested that game.

for the numbers.. Crawford saw 13 shots in 48 minutes of Ice Time.. Darling saw 15 in 11 minutes of Ice Time. Crawford had it really easy, while Darling was getting pelted. That looks like a classic case of the Hawks defense tightening up, knowing Crawford is very vulnerable right now. All credit to CHI's defensive play for that.

I'd be concerned about Crawford or Darling going ahead. Because there are much more talented teams ahead than a Preds team missing Weber. The playoffs are a bad time for a goalie controversy.

But as far as resting Rinne, Preds don't have a choice. Carter Hutton isn't fit to be an NHL backup most nights. It may be a nightmare if they rested Rinne in the playoffs. Rinne was worn out, but that's the breaks in the playoffs.. you have to tough it out if you want to succeed.. the last goal of the series wasn't on him, but plenty of other goals this series were ugly on his part. He did not play like a 7 million dollar a year goalie. Price (maybe Quick)is the only goalie in the NHL worth that kind of money.
