I really like the rumor of this offer but Cox & Kendricks entering the final year of their contracts really concerns me.

I'm a bit higher on Bradford then you guys seem to be. I wouldn't mind him and Mett competing it out. Sucks he would also be on a 1 year contract-- and hes stated he doesn't want to restructure or sign a longer deal until after this one. So in addition to kendrick and Cox i can't see us taking three players on a 1 year loan.

The smartest move for the Titans to make is not this one but with the Browns or Eagles.

Let's say this deal is actually credible (lol). The Titans could potentially be adding 3 guys with expiring deals and a solid draft pick. Reminds me of the trade offer the Lakers sent New Orleans for Chris Paul a few years ago. Leftovers and a crappy pick. That's not the way to go. There's no long term investment in this deal outside the OT or WR we would be taking at 20 and even more question marks at the most important position at QB. It literally gives us a boost in the short term and potentially nothing in the long term. Eagles get Mariota for expiring deals and a QB they never planned on keeping basically. We get? I'll pass.

Okay onto the Browns. If they were willing to give up #19 for Sam Bradford, you know the guy with a longer medical history than what WebMD can load up and is on a 1 yr deal, then you best believe they would give up that pick and #12 and another high pick (this year or next) for Marcus Mariota. I don't believe for a seconds about those reports of them only offering just one pick, everything coming out now is a lie or is being leaked with an ulterior motive. The two 1sts this year could give us a big time weapon on offense and whatever patch is left needing to be filled on defense. Or two impact guys on offense or etc etc. Throw in the additional pick, maybe a 1st next year? Even a 2nd? Now you have ammo in next year's draft to move up for the QB that you may need. This draft helps us out now and definitely in the long term. We acquire more talent which is still desperately needed, we give Mettenberger an actual chance with a not so horrible offense and if Mett does work out, that's still 2 1st round picks next year or 1st and 2 2nds next season that is no longer needed to move up but to fill out any potential holes or just position upgrades.

The last deal I want to discuss is the Chargers. Like I've basically said everyday, this one is tricky. I've been longing for an actual franchise QB since McNair left (which was dumb). I thought VY could be the guy but then the bunnies and rainbows finally got to him. I put way too much stock and hope into Locker and he failed me. Now here is Mariota, a guy I feel better about than VY and Locker at draft time. Has the talent and game changing ability of VY but has the high character and not so fragile body of Jake Locker. The strengths of our past two failures but without the qualities that led us to this search in the first place. Do we risk throwing away our new franchise guy for 3 MAYBE 4 years of Phillip Rivers? Would we have to sacrifice even more? I could sleep at night with swapping #2 for #17 and Rivers. Passing on Mariota could still bite us but having #17 gives us a fighting chance to push this team into playoff territory. Something that would have to be accomplished while Rivers is here for the trade to be considered a success, maybe even more would be needed.

So it basically comes down to this (if you're still reading this). You can take the win now approach with the 1st trade and then throw up some prayers that Kendricks and Cox re-sign and either Bradford actually stays healthy, Mett played up to his capability or the team got by enough that now adding a new QB could elevate the team even more (further into playoffs?).

The second trade is for everyone that wants to fully embrace the re-build. Add top young talent in the draft and have a promising 2015 season. The growing pains will be there but the organization will also learn a lot about the roster, especially at QB. The next draft would be one of the last stepping stones whether it's finally adding the guy at QB or improving the team just a bit more to become the next up and coming franchise. Personally, this one excites me the most. I'm still gun shy about taking another QB (and I'm sure the Titans are tired of making that pick every 3 years, it is becoming a trend) in the 1st so the ability to build everything else first is enticing and Mett could be a solid player. We could get by, just don't want to become complacent at the QB spot.

The last trade, is for the guys that think the first two moves are too risky. The expiring contracts, the bust rates, the Titans luck with picks, risk with Mett or Bradford, etc. Mortgage a bit of the future to get a taste of winning back into the franchise and into the air in Nashville. Bring back the excitement, have a nice 3 year run and then build some of the team again. This time with it being easier to accomplish after resetting a winning environment and now hopefully a more attractive destination.

Nice synopsis/breakdown of the trades.....I like every single one of those scenarios better than sticking at #2 and taking Williams.

With our GM/Coach on the hot seat to show marked improvement I think the Eagles/Chargers offers would be more appealing to them.

I still think that Ryan Matthews would be thrown into any deal with the Eagles. He re-unites with his old coach and gets the chance to be a #1. Philly really doesn't need Murray and Matthews.

Matthews is always hurt tho, great athlete, but he's constantly out due to injuries, not what the Titans need at all

Dallas Cowboys not in running for Adrian Peterson - NFL.com

I also read TB is on AP's list of places he would like to go. He could be had for the #34 pick due to that.

Cards would be his ideal destination, theyre a No.1 RB away it seems, and running is an afterthought here with Whiz. Would love to add Peterson somehow but I dont think its gonna happen.

I would it preferably with the browns pick, or with the eagles one and two.

Can we exchange Levitre for Mathis in any of these scenarios? Seriously.

Cards make sense...I wonder why TB is a place he'd like to go? Maybe they make Doug Martin part of the deal?
