Rivers didn't win anything in SD with more talent...what's he going to do here? Besides try to save WHIZ's a$$?

If we trade for rivers I'm just gonna bandwagon to whichever team is in the state I get stationed at. I'll be back when Ruston and wiz are gone.

Try and remember all the "SOURCES" who had so much "INSIDE" knowledge during free agent ( looking at you Bleacher Report) and knew jack sh$t about who we picked up.

Anyone really think that Whis and Webster are going to tip their hat to some reporters or "sources within the organization" to pass this along? It's goofy.

I was listening to NFL Radio about half an hour ago and the guys made the following points. Take it for what it's worth.

    1. Whisenhunt doesn't like young QBs.
    2. SD had Mariota in for a workout.
    3. The Jets want Mariota as well.

Everything they were saying pointed to the Titans having a lot of trade options and they think they'll take one.

I know all of these points have been made here before ad nauseam, but I was just excited to hear some national coverage on it. As a proponent of trading down, I liked it.

Yeah, talking heads at NFLN (and NFL Radio) have been chatting this up alot over the past couple of weeks.

I have mentioned this before, I am good with getting a vet QB in a deal, but I truly am more interested in the picks that we would get with him. If the Chargers are really serious that they will only trade Rivers straight up for our #2, they can keep him IMO (don't care whether arbiters of a deal think that it is fair, it would be stupid for us to do that IMO). It is about the draft picks....any QB in the deal would be a short term fix at best, with Mett ready to roll if needed.

This isn't really all that relevant to this thread, but did anyone watch the 30 for 30 "Elway to Marino" ?? Some of the trades that were going to happen was insane.

At 1 point Walsh was talking about trading Montana to the Colts for Elway lol

Agreed. I'd love to see us trade out of the pick, but definitely not for Rivers straight-up. I think the best news out of that segment was that they think we'll have multiple trade offers. In our situation, options are definitely good.
