Well to be fair what great QB sucked in preseason

 

Impossible to say, since no one cares about the preseason.

 

he made a joke about fans buzzing in august, and last august mett did gain a lot of buzz among titans fans with his performances. not the stats exactly but with the kinds of throws he was making

 

it showed the throws he can make, and throws mariota has 0 chance of being able to make

 

Being able to throw trick shots off WRs and LBs for interceptions is certainly something I don't expect from Mariota, but I don't see how it helps Mett.

 

ha. haha. ha. if you cant see mettenberger is 100x the passer mariota is, im sorry.

 

He's got a stronger arm. Same accuracy.

Mariota has plenty of arm strength and deep ball accuracy to be a top 5 QB.

Mett doesn't have the pocket awareness or mobility to be a good QB.

The Giants are still writing him letters thanking him for making OBJ look like a mid first pick.

When I was a kid I remember notables like Dennis Shaw and Don Dnockers (spelling probably wrong) burning it up for the Big Dead (old St. Louis Cardinals) in the preseason. Really thought they could push Jim Hart for the starting job. Then the regular season started.....

I remember back in 2001 a guy named Chris Sanders (not the Wide Receiver, actually a QB) getting alot of late game PT in the preseason for the Titans. Looked great, led a couple of great drives at the end of the games, making great throws, etc.. Then when the final cuts were made he was gone.....never to be heard from (from an NFL standpoint anyway) again.

Preseason means nothing......again......Preseason...means....NOTHING.

 

No no. A "hater" would get a complete complex about it and refer to him every post for months.

Who does that sound more like?

Maybe the Titans will pass on Mariota. I have no idea. I just know Mariota is a much better player than Mett.

If we go with Mett this year, it will get everyone in charge fired and we will have our pick of QBs with a new coach and GM.

That will be fun I guess. Won't make this season any more enjoyable.

Yup. But the meanginglessness of the preseason doesn't change the fact that there was no excitement for Mett last year, and if he starts this year, prepare for 16 away games.

Not his fault he is the anti exciting player. And it has nothing to do with me thinking he isn't a very good QB. It just is what it is. He is a boring 6th round pick who didn't prove a thing last year.
