[IMG] This is not my opinion of what I think the Titans should do. It is my opinion on what I think they will do based on their behavior.
    ============================================

First off, here are the players the Titans have brought in for a visit. While the Titans may have brought guys in they have no intention of drafting to throw off other teams it is doubtful they would not bring in a guy they want to take with their first pick. Therefore it is safe to say the Titans first round, and probably second round, pick are on this list:

    DL Leonard Williams, USC
    WR DeVante Parker, Louisville
    LB Stephone Anthony, Clemson*
    DE Tavaris Barnes, Clemson*
    OLB Tony Steward, Clemson*
    DE/OLB Vic Beasley, Clemson*
    QB Marcus Mariota, Oregon
    QB Jameis Winston, Florida State
    LB Shane Ray, Missouri
    CB Trae Waynes, Michigan State*
    CB Ronald Darby, Florida State*
    DE Danielle Hunter, LSU
    DE Dante Fowler Jr., Florida
    WR Dorial Green-Beckham, Oklahoma
    WR Kevin White, West Virginia
    WR Amari Cooper, Alabama
    WR Breshad Perriman, Central Florida
    OT Daryl Williams, Oklahoma
    OL Jeremiah Poutasi, Utah
    WR Phillip Dorsett,Miami
    WR Jaelen Strong, Arizona State

    Edited to add:
    CB Bryce Callahan, Rice
RB John Crockett, N. Dakota St.
DE Mario Edwards, Jr., Florida St.
    OLB Randy Gregory, Nebraska
    RB Todd Gurley, Georgia
    OT Tyrus Thompson, Oklahoma
    RB Keon Williams, Chattanooga
    OLB Deiontrez Mount, Louisville
    WR Deontay Greenberry, Houston

    Conclusions from the visits:
    • The Titans want a receiver early, likely in round one or two -- I do not think the team has much confidence in Justin Hunter ever being very good
    • Despite resigning Derrick Morgan and signing Brian Orakpo the Titans still see OLB as an area of need
    • The Titans really want to trade down out of that #2 spot. There are a lot of guys brought in that would be a major reach at #2 and not be available at #33
    • Offensive line is not a high priority. Only two OL brought in and both are mid round RT/G prospects. If you are hoping for a starting RT in this draft you will probably be disappointed
    • DL is not a priority at all. Leonard Williams is the only one brought in and the team may very well take him if they see him as BPA. However, none of the other top DL prospects have been brought it which tells me that if the Titans do not take Williams they probably will not take a DL until the third day, if at all
    • RB is also not a priority, none have been brought in. Hope no one was hoping for Todd Gurley or Melvin Gordon
    • EDIT: After my original assumption it appears RB could be a priority
    • Two CBs were brought in, Trae Waynes and Ronald Darby. Waynes could be taken in the first if the Titans trade down and Darby could taken in the second. Even with the addition of Perish Cox the CB is far from great
    • Mariota and Winston are the only QBs brought in, which looks to be a smokescreen. None of the second tier guys came for a visit. It is probable that the Titans do not see QB as a priority and are ready to go all in on Mett -- @520 will be happy

if mariota was a possibility wed have to of brought in a guy that could back him up and run his offense right. like a udfa type of guy.

I think they trade down or take the QB at #2. They desperately want to trade down but if the deal is not there I think they go Mariota/Winston.

I read those tea leaves as no other QB in this draft is even worth looking at.

Surprised no RB visited. Sankey looked like turd. Greene is a turd.

A lot of WRs were but they also signed two in Nicks and Douglas.

Also signed two OLBs but could use a young guy.

and if you believe QB isn't a priority when the depth chart reads Mettenbackup, Whitehurst and Palmer you got things ****ed up.

    Good post.

I don't necessarily agree on QB situation though. I think perhaps the reason only those two were brought in could simply be because they are the only two the FO sees as immediately viable replacements for Mett. Ditching Mett for a "second tier" rookie wouldn't make much sense. Either roll with Mett or replace him with top talent (in the draft).

Definitely agree we are looking to go WR early.

Interesting that only 2 OL were brought in. But this pleases me. We've spent two recent first rounders on OL and you should be able to come up with a serviceable OL in other ways besides constantly using first day picks. This is a make or break year for Warmack.

I still don't buy us drafting LW. I don't think this team can afford not to go offense in the 1st.

Not surprised about RB. Like I said at the beginning of all this draft discussion, no way this FO is willing to admit their mistake so soon regarding Sankey. They're gonna throw him out there again and hope that an improved OL makes him worth the pick (it won't).

As for trade, "you can wish in one hand.......". I have no doubt they'd love to clean up in a tradedown. But as I've said all along I just don't see it happening. I've seen scenarios thrown around here where we trade #2 for a 2015 1st, 2015 2nd, and 2016 2nd. We'd be complete fools to do such a deal and Webster should be fired immediately if that were to happen. And on the flip side I don't think any of the top prospects in this draft are necessarily worth the risk of giving up multiple 1st rounders.

Like it or not a precedent was set with the WAS/STL deal. A deal for #2 doesn't have to be exactly the same or more than that but it at least has to at least be close. And they got three 1sts and a 2nd. We can't just give away the pick.

    Exactly.

Frankly, as little as I think of Mett, I'd rather he be given the chance to compete than waste the second pick on Mariota.

    Winston, Williams, Fowler or Shelton.

    Trade, Trade, Trade

If you stay at #2 give me Cooper, Mariota or Fowler.

Too early for Williams and Shelton and I think they really think the DL is better than most fans seem to.

taking a qb just to take a qb is the dumbest move any franchise can make. if they dont like him, they aint taking him. if they stay at 2 i fully expect cooper or williams or fowler. schein reported "the titans coaching staff really doesnt want to take mariota." then A FEW days later i read rumors saying "whisenhunt has more say in the draft than webster" for the first pick.

also wyatt reported gurley or melvin visited recently. i forget which one

they really think mett is better than a few, not most, fans think as well....since by every poll ive seen for every one fan who wants mariota there is three that want to stick with mett and upgrade the team at 2.

all in all i bet we trade down and accept less than most fans will be happy with...but thats still better than taking a qb you dont like anyway.
