If we don't have anyone of value at #19 and someone offered it, sure go for it. We don't miss out and we gain for next year.

No one will offer it though.

And you don't trade a #2 pick for an aging QB that is only signed through the upcoming season but a lot of people are on board with that idea. I don't particularly like Cutler but if he is the starter then he is the starter. Like I have said most people aren't aware of Cutler's insanely huge contract, which I believe he is overpaid. But, his contract is only guaranteed through 2016 and he can be cut without any cap hit or dead money. I believe if Chicago wants Mariota bad enough and want to get rid of Cutler they would be willing to pay a portion of his contract, say around $10 million, which he is guaranteed in 2016. Cutler is due $15.5 mil in 2015 and $16 mil in 2016. If Chicago pays $10 mil of his contract then we are really only paying Cutler an avg of $11 mil/year.

People are wanting Mett to sit learn behind Rivers as he can just as easily sit and learn behind Cutler, whether it is what to do and what he shouldn't do and not be rushed to start. Like Cutler or not he is better than half the QBs in the league talentwise. Maybe Wiz can do more with him if he is the coach that a lot of analysts believe he is and maybe the change of scenery would do him good while playing in a small market.

All in all it is the best trade option available to get us the best option at picking top talent now and for next year while giving Wiz the type of QB that most think he prefers.
