12 isn't too bad but not sure who will be there at 19. Need a 1st next year as well.

It is all about the quest for a franchise QB. If you don't have one then at some point you have to draft one. If multiple teams are interested in the same guy then you can't just wait around until it is your turn to draft because one of the other teams might trade up to get him in front of you. We all know that the Bucs aren't trading out of #1 because they are going to take whichever QB they like the best. So that makes the #2 spot the first available trade out spot. If you know that you just have to have that QB then you are going to have to trade with us to guarantee that you get your guy. Otherwise you risk missing out.

It all comes down to actually how many teams really really think Mariota/Winston are franchise QBs and worth trading up for. The job of the Titans is to make it seem like lots of teams are interested.

Would you rather have #12 and #19 or just #2???

If that is your best offer then that is the question you have to ask yourself.

I would rather have #12 and #19....I'd be happy with Shelton/Dupree at #12 and DGB or Perriman at #19. Over just LW at #2

The more I look at the prospects and listen to the analysts the more I don't like the Cleveland, Philly, or Chargers trade. Analysts and GMs only have about 15 prospects with a true 1st rd grade. The lower 1st rd teams will be choosing from prospects with a 2nd rd grade, which is why a lot of teams in the mid to lower 1st want to trade back. Then there is only about 7 to possibly 10 elite level talent.

I'd rather just try and trade with Chicago and get their 7th and get Leonard Williams or Cooper and also Cutler to offer competition to Mett. If he has a resurgence under Wiz then keep him. If not then cut him after 2016 and owe him nothing. That is why I don't like the Rivers trade. If he regresses after a couple of years we are still on the hook for the rest of his contract. Also Chicago's 2016 1st and 3rd has the best chance outside of possibly Cleveland to become a high 1st. Otherwise just pick Mariota and try your shot with at a franchise QB.

You don't trade for Cutler, and his insanely huge contract, to compete with someone. He'll be the starter. He sucks and we are not going to improve with him.

if the talent pool is really shallow...would you trade 19 this year to maybe someone whod offer a second this year and a first next year. we could have three 2nd round picks. we take our wr at 12 and get our rt at 33 and two defenders, maybe olb and cb. thatd be awesome, and we still have four more picks.
