Mariota vs. Leonard Williams vs. Trade

No doubt he is mad boring....but it may be that he is Hawaiian honestly. I have family in and from Hawaii close to me, and trust me when I tell you, they live the Island life. Quiet, relaxed, no rush with anything etc....

 

Something else to think about, there are a LOT of other teams that are interested in Mariota's services. Shouldn't that tell us something? He's working out for all of these teams, who are at least semi-interested, if not wishing they had our pick so they could have him. When something is this agreed upon across the board in the league, I really think the Titans should stop and take notice.

Clay Travis was the first person to articulate this so well, and I've seen it since, but why let Whisenhunt dictate whether or not we draft a franchise QB just because he doesn't fit what he wants to do? Whis is like 4-28 in his last two seasons. He should be thankful to have a job.

 

Bingo! Not to mention, it seems like the players don't like playing for him, and that is worrisome.

The closer to draft day the more I want a us to stay put @ #2 and select Mariota/Winston.

I'm still a big fan of our Mettenberger, but the opportunity to pass on a franchise Quarterback is to hard to pass on.

 

No doubt this strategy gives us the best chance to find a franchise QB. I still think that Mett should be given the chance to prove if he can be the franchise guy or not. Mariota has the personality that will allow him to sit and learn behind Mett. If Mett sucks or gets hurt then put Mariota in if he is ready. If Mett proves to be our guy then great we have a franchise QB and everyone should be happy. If not then we roll with Mariota next year after he has a year under his belt.
