Man this is dragging on. The rivers trade is interesting but i don't think we should do it.
My belief is we aren't going QB at all, we are fine with Mett going into the season. I'm happy with that.

We will take Williams unless we get blown away with a trade. I think that is who Beddingfield is referring too.

Amari Cooper is a my dark horse at 2. A more complete #1 reciever you won't see come through the draft. I think he is AJ Green 2.0. I would be happy with that.

Not for nothing but that is a recipe for success....tom brady=old but has young role players...Brady=older but has young role players...if you're gonna have an older player on your team the one position you want it to be at is quarterback, especially if they are already elite to borderline elite....I think our D is 2 pieces away from being a solid D, at least on paper...we need corner and DL. On offense we definitely need a QB...

So for arguments sake...we trade for rivers and #17 for #2 pick and draft Best available DL or CB...offensively we have our QB SET our backup QB SET, WR SET, TE's SET, OL missing 1 piece but will be set, RB SET...we could have a very explosive offense esp with that receiving core and a knowledgeable elite QB!

on Defense we have Lebeau which is an underrated pick up, draft a CB at #17 the our CB is set, SAFETYS are SET, LB'S are SET...just need to solidify DL which maybe we do in the draft....

We will be a more complete team I think....SOMETHING HAS TO FINALLY GO RIGHT FOR THIS FRANCHISE! 8 years with out sniffing the playoffs! we're in danger of becoming the BROWNS!....at least they have some star players on their team....

Other than the fact that they both play WR, I don't see any similarities between Green and Cooper.

    Long time poster here:

    IMO

The Titans should ask Jake Locker to come out of retirement.

    Thank you.

Refined route running and ball skills. Ability to separate.
Amari is faster and AJ is taller.

I think Amari will have an AJ green impact on the league.

I love Amari and he very well could have that type of impact... I just don't quite see the similarities between he and Green.

Polian's comparison to Reggie Wayne makes a lot more sense to me. A faster version of Wayne basically.

Cooper works hard, not a diva. Wouldn't mind having him but not worth the #2 overall.

The real question here is "what is the trade worth?" No way is Rivers straight up worth the #2 overall pick for the reasons many have already listed above. Personally, I don't think Rivers is all that great of a fit here. He is headstrong and comes off like a baby in how he's gone public with his unwillingness to play in LA. And I remember all his baby antics on the sidelines. I'm not sold he is a "great leader" and great locker room presence. And talk about being over the barrel once he's here. What's to keep him from threatening us in the same manner if he becomes displeased here? Rivers hasn't won Super Bowl, nor has he gone deep in the playoffs. He played with LaDanian Tomlinson and Antonio Gates. And he's had several "bad years". He isn't an "elite" QB IMO.

That said, I'd consider Rivers for their #17 and a next year's 2nd (or this years but that unlikely) for our #2 pick. Forget about anything else less than that. As a fan, I'd take my chances with re-building. And that's saying a lot because I think Webster is a God awful GM. Work out possible trade scenarios with the #2 overall pick privately w/ Chargers, Jets, Browns, Eagles, Rams and then let them sweat it out until we turn our pick in. Who ever gives us the best deal can have the #2 pick.

I don't want Mariota or Winston. I want picks- lots of early round ones. I want to roll with Mett and fortify our OL and D. I'd like a play-making WR. We don't have one despite everybody's "love" for KW. JH is a bust and everybody needs to get over this "I hope he puts it together this year BS".

I still think the browns will offer the 12 and 19th pick and maybe a future pick to move up and that would be the best trade we need multiple players not just one.

    That's still my dream.

    #12, #19, #43, and 2016 1st

I don't know if they'll offer 3 1st similar to the RG3 trade. Browns have been looking for a QB for the last 10 years, if they think Mariota is finally the answer - they'll go all in on him. If we could land that trade, it'll (hopefully) change our franchise.
