Chargers GM is doing exactly what he should be doing. Putting a higher price tag on an asset so when it comes to negotiating he'll only come down on value a bit. Danny Ainge of the Celtics has always been notorious of this.

I think the trade with Chicago is the best overall value trade. You get the #7 pick, a high 2nd, a potentially high 2016 1st and 3rd. You also get a vet QB to compete with Mett. TN is not going to take on Cutler's contract straight up so they would probably have to pay about $10 million toward his salary(money Chicago would have to pay anyway), which leaves a manageable salary for 2 years. If TN needs to they can cut him after 2 years with no cap hit or dead money. If he is somehow rejuvenated by Wiz then he is already locked up. Chicago gets their franchise QB and gets out of Cutler's contract. They can pay $10 million this year or $25 million plus this year and next year.

With the #7 pick we have a lot of options and could also trade down with Miami for the #14 (they are looking to trade up for a receiver) and get a 2015 2nd and maybe a third or a 2016 1st. That would give us 3 first in 2016 if we took the latter and still have a top 15 pick

Like someone else stated this isn't baseball they aren't going to pay his salary or a portion. They can possibly work out a revised contract before the trade. That said contract aside we don't need to give up the #2 for cutler. We can simply throw them a late round draft pick 5/6/7 rd and drafts as planned. I would like to see us trade back get a bunch of picks this year and next year and give chicago a 5th or 6th rounder for Cutler to compete with Mett.

Actually the team does not have to do a revised contract with Cutler as it would only create more money for them to have to spend in a restructure. They cannot give money to TN but they can actually pay a portion of his contract. Like I said it is either $10 million along with their new franchise QB or spend $25 million plus and stick with Cutler. Cutler is a throw-in as the trade without him is already fair by points value.

    Definitely Cleveland. I'm hoping for 12, 19, 43 & 2016 1st. Imagine what the Titans can do for their offense with 12, 19, 33 & 43

    12: Davante Parker
    19: Todd Gurley/Melvin Gordon
    33: Jake Fisher
43: Best 3-4 end or 3-4 OLB avail

Anyone that took the Jets trade over the Bears trade is retarded.

its essentially the exact same picks, except we would get an extra 3rd next year.

Jay Cutler is irrelevant in this deal compared to the Jets ... just gives us more options at QB

Regardless if we can restructure or not (which isn't as easy as most of you seem to believe) - we'd still be taking a MASSIVE cap hit for the next 6 years. No thank you.
