Mett our guy? Possibly poor mans Tom Brady?

If you draft a QB at #2 you expect him to play. Why would he have to battle it out. And btw I totally believe Mariota would have no chance to beat out Mett straight up during camp. Not in Whisenhunt's system.

Although I agree with you, I'd hope Mariota could beat Mett in an open competition. Don't just want to hand over the keys of our franchise to a rookie -- make him EARN it.

I actually wouldn't be opposed to Williams/Fowler/Trade (in the top 6 picks) either tbh, the coaches have seen a lot more of Mett and I hope they have a better idea then any of us do. Just saying if theres still a decent doubt they should pick the QB and figure that position out.

Thing about Mett is he could be good if he's got a clean pocket to throw from.

In the event we do take a QB at 2, we shouldn't count out the possibility Mett starts the season and also possibly loses his job at some point. Does Whiz really want that kind of QB doing work behind this crap oline? I sure hope not.

I'd take one of the 2 QBs at 2, that way I cover my ass, cause both Winston and Mariota have quicker releases.

I think Whiz could work with a guy that zips the ball out quicker than Mett

 

I'd trade Mett and #2 for #1 and take Winston in a heartbeat. Just saying.
