What was the last LeBeau defense to have a number 1 corner? Rod Woodson?

Good point but this isn't Lebeau's defense, it's Hortons with a hint of Lebeau

Not sure what that has to do with anything.

I don't expect us to take Waynes whatseover, but he'd be somewhere on our big board of we traded back far enough.

Did anyone here think we'd take Lewan last year before the draft? No. There's no chance in hell ANYONE called that.

You can't take a guy off your board because your 78 year old DC (yes, he's essentially our DC, JCB) has basically never had a true #1 CB. And when you consider that LeBeau had Polamalu and an elite front 7, #1 CB was an afterthought. We have an elite nothing.

Love LeBeau, and I'm glad he's here, but let's not act like he's gonna be here for a decade.

If LeBeau's philosophy is playing a role in acquiring talent (some think it is), then there is a good chance the team feels they are fine at the position and that they don't need a true #1 CB. That is what the comment has to do with anything. That was my only point--the staff might not think we need a number 1 CB to do what we want to do. I am not saying they are right, but there is reason to believe that is there thinking . . . fair?

I don't know, with modern medicine and a good training regime, anything is possible.

Agree, cb isn't the biggest need, but it'd be hard to pass on Waynes at 12.

You can say this about damn near every position on this team.

It was 'addressed' in the offseason. Only so much you can do in an offseason with a team this bad. We have to go BPA in the first three rounds, we are literally that bad.

Sadly, you're right. We could pretty much use an upgrade at every position still.
