Those questions were debunked along time ago.

I'll agree the always playing from shotgun formation will be a hiccup he may struggle to adapt to at first, but realistically NFL QBs use a TON of shotgun plays.

And what do you mean he didn't audible? He was said to have had full control of that offense..

No way man. Oregon's offense is the most sophistacated immense offense in history. Mariotas expected to read every d player simultaneously and individually. Mariota basically has to read the d and look at the d players on the sidelines and judge there facial expression to get a real good read of what's the best option on that play.
On occasion mariota even has to read the fans of the opposing team as well...he basically reads every person in The stadium each play
    Sometimes twice.

Him looking to his coach before every snap wasnt the coach making adjustments and reading the d....it was mariotas super brain telepathically sending messages to coach about plays they are gonna run next week

The only people he don't read every play are the cheerleaders cuz he's scared of females.

Seems to me that, if the Oregon offense is so good at getting guys open, the real question is...

Who can we hire to implement that offense here with MM?

Has a ton to do with Oregon players being able to out athlete opposing teams 9/10 times.

He does have to make pre-snap reads, because even in a gimmick offense like Oregon you have to be able to tell which defensive formation you are facing.
People might confuse this with going through progressions post-snap. Which Mariota clearly does not do very often and if he has to do it he struggles.

How could they be? He has not played anything close to an NFL type Offense. Anything about how he will pan out in the NFL is purely hypothetical. He might become a quality starter or the next Tebow. Nobody knows.
As far as I am concerned, I care less about a QB running the 40 in 4.5 or 5.2 seconds. I care about a QB being able to stand in the pocket, going through progressions and deliver the football accurately to the right target. And that I have not seen from Mariota enough. Other QBs who did not display this enough were Tim Tebow, Johnny Manziel, Jake Locker, Vince Young, Colin Kaepernick and a few more. How many of these do you consider franchise QBs?

I now know you've watched maybe 4 Mariota snaps and nothing more, this kid is so far from the next Tebow or VY its ridiculous

Keep telling yourself that. I have watched about five and a half games of Mariota and five of Winston. Aside from the off the field issues, Winston is the better QB and it is not even close. Mariota is actually closer to Hundley than Winston skill wise.

Well youre right that Winston is better, but Ive watched alot more of their work than you have, youre telling me about these guys as if youve seen the whole show when you havent.

Both of them will be solid QB's for whoever picks them. MM is more of a gamble because at some point his skillset lessens as he slows down, and converting him into a real QB steepens things for him at first, but he'll be fine. (This by the way is part of why Philip Rivers is so intriguing, he's a guaranteed thing)

Also his throwing mechanics and arm strength are there, the pocket composure is there, he's an intelligent kid so we're told, he's got way more of the right things going for him than most of this years QB's.

I believe Winston will just improve and improve so getting him is my favorite possible scenario.
