June 1 free-agency deadline moved to May 12 | ProFootballTalk

I believe May 12th. Saw it on ESPN the day before yesterday. Supposedly they want players that teams know they are going to cut to have time to make a team before mini camps start. They also cite that the June 1st designation was really for teams that were having cap issues, which few teams have these days.

It covers compensatory picks as well.

 

Don't let him leave, that's a major upgrade at Center at a probably good cost.

 

Please make this happen. He is easily the best OL remaining in FA.

At worst, he'll be an average C for us... and that's still an upgrade over what we've had at that position since Mawae left.

If we get this dude at C, we can have Schwenke/Levitre (who shouldn't even be on the roster) battle it out at LG, and draft a RT by round 2.

Would really help our god awful OL out a lot.

 

If we go RT in round 2, then having only Levitre starting on the line turns out not to be horrible. He's the obvious weak link but the rest of the line should pick up the slack. I still hope he's gone during the post June 1st (or is it July) cuts.

 

Also whatever happened to Blalock?

 

I have a feeling that if we upgrade the center position, Levitre and Warmack will perform a lot better.

 

I watched Oakland vs Denver week-17, Center play was their LAST problem, but oh well, let their mistake be our gain.

 

well well now, look who could have benefited from another JCB thread. Had it all lined up ready to go, but re-read it and it was boring news so it didn't make it out of the lab.

 

Hopefully, Wisniewski had Austin Howard to his right and still played well, Warmack is not the bum Howard is, but with Levitre to the left IDK. Would still help us regardless so lets make it happen.
