I'm not currently buying the Skins would move up for Mariota since they just mortgaged a gazillion picks for a very similar QB who is still on their roster AND they play a West Coast offense which isn't too spread QB friendly.

The Browns would want him because they don't have a future franchise QB unless they still think there is hope for manziel. Meanwhile they have a stop gap and manziel in rehab. Browns have 2 picks in rnd 1 AND their QB coach is more familiar with Mariota than anyone except Chip Kelly and TB's OC!

The Jets are 50/50. The Jets have Gailey as OC and if memory serves, Fitzmagic did well under him so they may think ride Fitz until geno is ready and if he isnt, we get a QB another year. problem is, no future QB on the horizon looks as promising (atm) and they likely won't pick in top 10 with that defense so they'd have to mortgage even more to move up another year. Then again, they could HOPE he drops to them.

Bears have a ton invested in Cutler but for this year. While the following season is guaranteed, it is only $10mil and they can cut that in half by cutting him post june 1 in 2016. So ride Cutler in 2015 and draft Mariota...the future now. MM sits for a year and then get rid of cutler or keep him his final year if MM needs more time to develop.

Rams have Foles but it's a 1yr deal. Could still draft MM (or move up for him with that extra 2nd rndr in 2016) and let him learn behind Foles for a year. If Foles succeeds, great. let MM develop and trade him in a year or two. If Foles fails, start MM in 2016 and let Foles walk while still getting the better deal in terms of draft picks!

I initially was all over trading #2, but we had a solid free agency and filled many holes. I now prefer to keep #2, take Leonard Williams or Marcus Mariota. Two guys you can potentially build a team around.

Someone had an interesting breakdown about each team near the top trading their picks.

If Eagles want Mariota, they'll have to trade in front of the Redskins. Redskins won't trade with a division rival and if they wait past that pick, the Jets would take Mariota. So that leaves the Eagles with the Titans, Jaguars, and Raiders. Oakland and the Jaguars make sense. However, Gus Bradley and the Jags would miss out on taking their top pass rushing pick. The Raiders, who desperately need a top WR, would probably miss out on the top 3 if moving down to 20. Which leaves the Titans. Our main issues is sliding all the way from 2 to 20 and passing up not only Mariota but Williams to pair with Casey and Lebeau's defense.

Just something I read on twitter last night from one of the draft guys. I don't exactly agree with everything that's said but it does kinda feel like all roads lead back to the Titans when discussing the Eagles wanting Mariota and Bradford.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid the Titans would be the team to take this kind of gamble. Of course, if Whiz wanted Bradford, they should have just traded with the Rams directly but it appears the Rams and Eagles (but hopefully NOT the Titans) have an overinflated view of Bradford's worth. IF we trade all the way down to #20 from 2, they better give us this years 1st, 2nd, 3rd, next years 1st and 3rd, plus a 1st in 2017 PLUS Bradford, Fletcher Cox and Jordan Matthews.

    I could live with this.

Webster better NOT be the guy who offered Chip a 1st rnd pick for Bradford!!! The problem with trading for Bradford is he is no lock to be a good starting QB, let alone a star QB, he's been hurt 2 seasons, has a high cap number and only 1 yr on his contract. Kelly gave up a lot to get him but he's not worth that much considering his production.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot believes the Browns are not done upgrading at quarterback, and expects the team to target either Oregon QB Marcus Mariota or current Eagles QB Sam Bradford.

It's no secret by now that the Browns previously tried to trade the No. 19 overall pick for Bradford, first to the Rams and (allegedly) later to the Eagles. Specifically, Cabot writes that she thinks the Browns "will try to trade up to draft Marcus Mariota, and I also think they could make another run at Sam Bradford." If the Eagles are willing to deal Bradford as rumored, they would presumably want both of Cleveland's first-round picks with eyes on getting to No. 2 overall, where Mariota is likely to be selected.

These are great points, but could still see the Jags/Raiders trading if it's a great deal. It's not like the Jags can't find a pass-rusher and the Raiders a WR later in the draft.... although prospect wise they'd miss out on their #1 ranked WR and OLBs.

2 1st round picks for Sam Bradford? Ha good luck with that.

Either the Browns send both of their top picks and a little something else or the Eagle can trade Bradford for 19 and package their picks for ours. I like how this could play out.

I really really really hope the Browns come calling. At #12, there's still a possibility of White or Cooper being there even though it's highly unlikely. If not, we can sure up our DL with Danny Shelton. At #19 we could go Bud Dupree and with Horton and Lebeau here, he could become an absolute stud. That's 2 very good defensive players and we still have our pick at #33 for some much needed offense.

So many possibilities if we make a trade. Come on Rus.

If I were Webster, I'd ask Cleveland for their both No.1 picks + Manziel. Why? Isn't Johnny considered a bust already? If he gets his off the field issues (alcohol/partying addiction?) squared away, I personally think he's going to develop into one hell of an NFL QB. He reminds me so much of Fran Tarkenton, or Russell Wilson, in terms of size, elusiveness and playmaking ability.

Seems to me that the speed of the NFL game was a bit too overwhelming for him, and many forget that he didn't have a playbook in college. Every QB adjusts differently. In that sort of trade, we could insure that whomever the QB is, will be well protected by taking OT La'El Collins or Peat with one of those 1st Rd picks. And with the other, I'd take Gurley or Gordon, who have the ability to put the entire team on their back.

With the 1st Pick of the 2nd Rd (33), I'd take Dorial Green Beckham (Plaxico Burress height, Terrell Owens frame, and Randy Moss speed playmaking ability) or Jalen Strong. Take OLB Kikaha at the top of the 3rd, if he is still there (I think he's the best pure pass rusher in the draft, but much overlooked because he's had two knee injuries and considered only a pass-rush specialist).

If Petty is still on the board with our 4th Rd pick (which is effectively a late 3rd), go ahead an snag him as a developmental QB and insurance in case Mettenberger and Manziel are busts. I really like this guy...he probably throws the long ball better than anyone on our roster, and has nice size, mobility and a quick release
