He doesn't have even 1% of the money it would take. Not even close.

Obviously Eddie couldn't own the team out right. Or even be a minority owner unless it was handed to him.

I am now just more thinking about him serving as VP or pres or something like that

    Your hyperbole is astounding.

"I don't think it's impossible" gets turned in to "I could easily do it."

For those saying it would be easy or even possible to raise roughly $2 billion to buy the Titans, take a look at this.

Fans in San Francisco (a city with a GDP of $535 billion compared to Nashville's $94 billion) are trying to raise money to buy billboards demanding Jed York sell the 49ers.

The total raised so far? About $2,000.

49ers fans have raised $2K to try and get Jed York to sell the team - CBSSports.com

No one wants to contribute their hard-earned money to this kind of thing.

If they structured it not as a donation, but as an investment opportunity they would get a lot more people to contribute. Even if they had no control. The titans organization is a business that makes money and could pay the investors. I know if i was getting a decent return on investing in the titans, i would do it. They would have to have a majority owner, but could sell 48% to the public.

So now you're saying you just want the Titans to be traded on the stock market rather than community owned. That's a huge difference. And it would change very little about how the franchise is run because the majority owner would continue to make all decisions.

That's because its a dumb idea started by some random ass fans. A billboard and a team are 2 completely different things LOL. How can you even compare?

That's like saying "I live in NY where the population is 8M and my 5 year old daughter started a lemonade stand, she only made $5 ... so there is no reason for you to open up a real restaurant in Nashville where the population is only 600k"

It's about as close a comparison as exists in the world.

If you think you can raise $2 billion to buy the Titans, please do it. I give you my word I will contribute the final $1.5 billion.

Let me know when you get up to $500,000,000.
