Based on that Brooks article, we're taking mariota.

Fine by me. Lets hope it works out.

Watching Mariota on tape, most if hus running plays are called running plays. When it is a pass, most of time he is moving in pocket to throw. Heard interview with Jim Mora about Mariota, said was a bigger, faster, quicker Aaron Rodgers. Abd said get him out of my conference don't want to play against him any more. Had very high praise for MM.

According to Jason La Canfora, teams who want mariota are going to have to trade to #2 to snag him. Seems like our interest or smokescreen, either one, is causing teams and GMs to feel #2 is the pick to get to otherwise he will be gone. This could be good for us trying to get more picks, just gotta Hope we don't ask for too much

Have to take Williams. Otherwise this is going to be JJ Watt all over again.

Also, I'm tired of us ruining young QBs. I really feel that if Jake Locker had gone to Seattle or something, he would have wound up being a very successful quarterback. We're pretty much repeating history by going after a mobile quarterback early again.

Let's see what Mett's got this year, if it isn't good, then there are plenty of QBs that fit Whiz's system next year (or rather, there are plenty of decent QBs coming out next year that could fit whoever's system pending whether or not Whiz is even still here then).

Doesn't matter where the injuries happen, regardless if there separate injuries. Just ask Jake Locker.

I don't really see the dominant force lot of people are claiming Leonard Williams to be when I watch him. He might be a beast but I don't think he's going to have a JJ Watt-level impact. Take Mariota or trade back for a **** load of picks. Otherwise we aren't maximizing the value of the 2nd pick.

We are not missing out on J.J. Watt...

I really don't have a problem not going Mariota but I would just prefer us to trade down. Williams at #2 is a good pick but if we can keep hyping Mariota then a trade should open up. Give me a ton more picks and still a nice pick(s) in the 1st and I'll be the happiest guy on earth.

Also the whole "look at next year's class" is not safe. For a fan discussion? Sure. If our FO thinks this way, no wonder we suck. You can't count on anything for next year. Hackenberg could flop again, Jones could lose that magic from last year, Cook could stay average, and Kessler's numbers fall down to earth. No one knows.

But for everyone of those guys that flops next year, there will be one that steps up that nobody was expecting. I personally think Hackenburg will be a beast, his team is just awful. I think that's why it's important that in any trade we entertain for the #2 pick has to include a 2016 1st rounder. We need as much ammo to move up next year and grab a QB as we can. Stock up on picks this year, build the defense, repair the offense and get your QB next year if Mett sucks.

Thank you! People comparing Leonard to JJ Watt is hilarious, Watt is a once in a lifetime player. I do think Leonard Williams can be a pro-bowler, but a better comparison is young Kevin Williams-Gerald McCoy. Again, still a very talented player... but I feel like people think we're drafting a sure-fire hall of famer.
