    Is it?

look at our previous 3rd picks

    Blidi Wreh-Wilson
    Zaviar Gooden
    Mike Martin
    Jurrell Casey
    Rennie Curran
    Jared Cook
    Craig Stevens

would we really be so worse off trading our 1st and 3rd away to secure a franchise QB? Outside of Casey our 3rds have busted

jc if the bucs want winston even a little bit, it'll take much more to move up. The draft chart doesn't work if a team is high on a player on the board. I think it would take 3 picks to move up one spot.

Leonard Williams is a Florida kid, Tampa could like him just as much, hard to say for sure. But when I think back to the best D-lines in recent history they had 2 monster DT's.

Its wishful thinking I know, but it could be an option

We suck at drafting, we all know that. Which is why we're the jokes of the NFL right now.

I'm laughing at the trade you proposed. Just because there's a chart that says trading #1 for #2 & 3rd is "fair" doesn't mean any GM would actually do the trade. If TB loves Mariota, Winston, or LW - they'll just take them at #1.

Lets just say Tampa loves Mariota, are they really going to risk trading back and lose him? Even if it's only a spot. Bottom line is: Tampa will take who they want at #1. There not going to risk losing "their guy" for an extra 3rd at the chance Ruston would pull a quick one and actually take Tampas guy.

Wont happen. 0.000000000001% chance, if my calculations are correct.

Ruston has ties to Tampa, they probably like all 3 guys about the same, its beneficial for them to acquire picks

I am not at all against trading up for Winston if KW feels like he is worthy and wants him badly enough.

If we stay put at #2, I'm leaning strongly toward Williams. I can't let history influence this pick because we're in a very extraordinary position so we cannot afford to miss. Teaming up the 2 USC guys on that DL make me very hopeful for a tough D under LeBeau and Horton.

And on the other hand, if KW is sold on Mariota @ #2 then I'm on board with that too. I'm not a huge fan but if our coaches, GM and scouts love him enough to pull the trigger then I'm all for it too.

My biggest fear is that we stay at #2 and reach.

So, you've never lied to somebody that you have "ties" with?

It's just illogical, no team is going to trade out of #1, unless it's a gamechanging deal. Adding an extra 3rd isn't enough, IMO.

Anyone outside of Winston, Williams and Mariota would be a reach. I like Gregory and Fowler but #2 is too high. I'd rather us trade down just for the sake of trading out of the spot and take the best OL.

Outside of Winston, Mariota, or Williams... I wouldn't be pissed if we took Amari Cooper or Kevin White. Wouldn't be thrilled, but could get behind that decision. Before somebody comes in and says "we should trade back for one of them", there's isn't always the ability to trade back.
