Pur best trade partner has to be the NY Jets who will most likely have to jump over whoever the Skins trade the pick to. I'd take as little as their 1st 2nd and 3rd plus a 1st in 2016.

Also we could reestablish control by drafting Mariota and auctioning him off a la Eli Manning. Make other teams play ball with us and if they refuse take the ball and go home. Worse case scenario is you get a potential frachise signal caller.

This scenario has been mentioned and scares the crap out of me.

I do not want to get stuck with the duck when Im almost 100% certain Whiz wont use him right..

If thats the case fire Ken Whishenhunt. He is a sub .500 coach with only one real accomplishment to his record so idk why we decide to let him decide to future of our franchise.

    I wanted Hue Jackson aways.

I don't see how the Redskins offering the pick up for trade "cuts the legs out from under" the Titans. They are #5 and we are #2. If a team REALLY wants a guy bad enough to trade up into the top 5 for him then they gotta come through us to guarantee they get him.

We have to keep up the illusion that we are very interested in Winston, Mariota and Williams even if that is not truly the case. Because those are the only 3 guys a team is even going to consider trading up so high for. I don't see how any of the other 31 teams can be "sure" of what we are going to do with the #2 pick. So if they really covet one of those guys and don't do business with us then they are playing with fire.

You buying us taking Mariota? Im sure not.

Now if we're selling our pick we should be selling Leonard Williams to the Jags, Raiders and anyone else sniffing around the DE, he should have a market of his own, but I really just dont feel like our interest in Mariota is genuine.

Perfectly fine with that...as long as they add a WR/RB

I don't think anyone is buying we will take Mariota. The only reason is everyone feels we need a QB. Barring a huge trade offer, I think the pick is and should be Williams.

It's not about what I buy. But yes, I could see it happening. What I'm saying is none of the other teams can KNOW that we aren't taking him. So if they really want the guy they need to do business with us. Or else they risk not getting him.

No one really knows what the Titans are thinking, and that uncertainty is what could potentially get us a trade. Its easy as a fan to sit back and say "nah Titans aren't taking him" because we have no consequences if they we are wrong.

The feeling is probably quite a bit different for NFL GMs. If a GM really does want Mariota, then you can bet your ass they will be scared to death when the Titans are on the clock ... Some teams might be willing to call our bluff and wait to see if he falls, but if that is the case then there really just wasn't enough interest in him to trade to #2 to begin with.

Basically, if a team is IN LOVE with Mariota, they will not risk it and wait and see what the Titans do. They will go get there guy if they can.

If a team is willing to wait, then they probably weren't going to trade to #2 regardless of Washington selling their pick or not.
