we do seem to get overlooked a TON

not that I blame people, no one should care about a 2-14 team, but still bad work on nfl.com writers part...

And we haven't necessarily been a team on the rise either. Hopefully that starts to change this year.

We'll just have to disagree on Baluga. He didn't even reach free agency. Hard to place the blame at Webster for that. You don't just blindly throw money at player without meeting with them first. Baluaga didn't meet with anyone other than the Packers, who quickly re-signed him. So if the Titans failed here, then so did every other team who wanted Baluga, because no one even got a visit from him.

Harvin hasn't really been healthy/productive since 2011. At this point, he's living off his name than actual performance. You can put up with a poor attitude if you are getting production. Harvin hasn't shown he can do that, outside of the kick returns. Lots of teams passed on Harvin this free agency, including the team the released him. That's pretty telling of how he is viewed around the league.

I wouldn't have minded Marshall personally, but his attitude issues are concerning for a lot of teams. Add to that his injury issues and his age, and it's pretty clear why the Bears only got a 5th rounder for him. Clearly the Titans thought he wasn't worth the headache. I can see both sides. But he threw Cutler under the bus, a QB that he has/had a pretty good relationship with after playing with him Denver and Chicago. I can't imagine Marshall would have held his tongue with a developing young QB struggling to get him the ball.

I don't consider Levitre a lost cause yet. He hasn't been good, but he hasn't been Michael Oher level bad. This is the 1st off-season he has had no surgeries. I'll let 2015 be the final judge for me.

The fact that he didn't get to free agency doesn't mean anything other than no one during the 3 day negotiation period offered him significantly more money than GB.

Harvin was not released until the Jets consumated their trade for Marshall and if not for that trade, the Jets would have kept him. No one wanted to trade for Harvin because of his $10.5mil sal in 2016. A team that wants Harvin needs to know how to use him. The Jets offense last year had no clue how to use anyone other than run the ball and Harvin was quite good at that. I wouldn't pay him top dollar as he doesn't have the production for it, but he is a talent we could utilize in a lot of ways. And I would certainly have taken a flyer on him with a 1yr prove it contract. He had the Bills and Pats interested but signed a 1 yr deal with the Bills.

Yes, Marshall is not a long term answer, but he's a darn good short term one for a team with no #1 WR in an offense that likes a big WR. He has no more injury concerns than anyone else so that is a non-starter. Everyone is throwing Cutler under the bus and from what I understand, he deserves it considering he's counting his money and not putting as much effort into winning! We will see with the Jets how he does with calling out a QB for not getting him the ball. I think he will be on good behavior because the Jets can cut him and eat nothing except a lost 5th rnd pick. He was a no brainer IMO.

Just because we had a guy play worse doesn't mean Levitre is doing ok. Levitre has the 2nd highest cap hit on the Titans at over $8mil in 2015 and he's played like a backup OG the last 2 seasons. They should have signed another high quality OG and cut Levitre or traded him for a late rnd pick. You actually wanna pay him another $6mil plus to see if after 2 full seasons he can play any better? 2 years wasn't enough???

Again, we'll just have to disagree on Baluga. Teams don't offer contracts before meeting with a player 1st. It just isn't done.

You are choosing to ignore some pretty big concerns with Marshall and Harvin. Namely Harvin's attitude issues, which are worse than Marshall's. The Seahawks literally had no WR's on their roster worth a damn, yet they couldn't wait to unload Harvin during the middle of season in which they were competing for a playoff spot at the time. The Jets had a ton of money to spend this off-season and no playmakers on offense. If Harvin were such a dynamic player, wouldn't keeping him along with trading for Marshall be a better course of action for a team devoid of playmakers? Harvin simply is not was he used to be. As Greg Hardy is going to show, people will pay plenty of money for someone with issues as long as they are productive. Harvin hasn't been productive in over 2 full seasons.

Marshall missed 3 games last year and was injured in several other games he played in. That clearly afected his performance. And that is a significant factor for someone his age. Again, I personally would not have minded taking a flyer on Marshall. He's big and phyiscal and a great red zone target. But I think you have to acknowledge that he does not come without issues, and many teams (likely the Titans included) just didn't want to take on those issues

As far as Levitre, you simply don't cut a player with a cap hit that large, unless he is a locker room cancer. Trading Levitre also comes with a cap hit. I'd rather not shell out another huge contract to an OL when we have so much money invested into it already. And yes, I'd like to see what Levitre can do with improved players across the line and an off-season in which he is completely healthy.

Harvin is on his 4th team in 4 years.

    There's something up with him.
