Agree...I would want a mix of 15 and 16 early round picks along with either Bradford or Sanchez. Neither one lights me up, but either along with Mett can provide an adequate crutch to get us into another draft IMO.

No, just no. We just cut jake for this exact reason and if we signed bradford that could be possibly the most hypocritical offseason move ever

I can't see Philly dealing Bradford..he was part of the reason Murray signed with Philly

The moves that Chip Kelly has made this offseason are hard to understand.

To me he is stock piling players that he can then use as trade bait. He could easily trade Murray or Matthews in combination with Bradford.

People have said that from a cap standpoint Bradford is untradeable, but I would expect Bradford to redo his deal before any trade was done.

All I know is that we want to keep the appearance that multiple teams want Mariota to increase our chances of trading out of #2

Why trade for Bradford when you can just pick him up after he's released?

This is basically what the Titans FO is having to figure out.

Is Mariota that big of an upgrade over Mett? If yes, draft him. If no, well it gets tricky. Is Mett and Williams better than Bradford and a ton of picks? The value here is the picks. The chances of Bradford actually staying healthy are slim, he's basically a big overpriced filler at QB for the year. So, is passing on Mariota and Williams worth sliding back to 20 and having some insurance in the next draft?

IMO, I think our future becomes a bit too cloudy by doing this trade. Bradford isn't so much of an upgrade that he's going to get us 5 extra wins. I just can't see that. So trading back because of him and picking up middle of the road picks is probably not worth it. Keep it simple, grab your next QB if you believe in Mariota or go with the best player in the draft in Williams. We essentially have another 1st round pick by picking at #33. We may honestly see more trade action for that pick then our 2nd overall.

My only concern with the Titans doing this deal is if they look at it in this perspective.

Mettenberger: +size and big arm, showed promise in limited action.
Mettenberger: -injury history that extends to this year. Only a 6th round pick.

Mariota: +big time prospect, franchise QB, big numbers and awards, excitement.
Mariota: -does he fit the system? is he that much better than Mett to pass on LW?

Bradford: +1 year deal, additional draft picks, when healthy he's an improvement
Bradford: -injury issues, do we want to go down that path again? high cost but 1yr

When you look at it like this, Bradford isn't that bad of an option. Which scares me.
