    But Mariota could likely run it. His scrambling ability would make him even more dangerous.

    I doubt he would be. Let's say Mariota can operate the O, you add in plays that take advantage if his athletic ability similar to what Carolina did with Cam and he becomes even more dangerous.

    I bet he could run the system, I just hate to see us limp around early while he's getting his feet under him. We might be passed that with Mett. I wont be upset if he's a Titan, but I like the idea of Mett and a stud defender more.

    You can't be serious. He played like six games, looked average and got hurt.

    Then by all accounts went back to partying afterwords. I'll pass.

    Not disagreeing with you because that's a safe option but if we're passing on Mariota I rather try and trade down for an OLB. A lot of guys here are still on the Leonard Williams bandwagon but we currently don't have any starting OLBs.

    I say go get him. I like Mett, but I just don't see how you can have much faith that he is gonna be "the guy". I REALLY think if we pass on QB at 2 we're gonna look back on that move as a huge mistake. And I know I'm in the extreme minority here, but I just have a bad feeling about Leonard Williams. If we aren't going QB I hope to hell we trade down.

    After a 2-14 season and what is shaping up to be a terribly disappointing FA period, they might have no choice but to go QB to inject some excitement into this lethargic fanbase. A highly touted rookie QB puts butts in the seats, no doubt about it.
