In Tommy's defense, did he say this year in FA? :p

Really- we're 2-14 because we went earlier in FA?

We both know it is the combination of poor drafting and FA acquisition that put us with a dearth of talent. I think the 2-14 was in part by construct once last year became a wash by mid-season.

My beef remains that we have a bad GM supported apparently by an out of touch owner. This FA period fans were promised by Tommy we'd be aggressive. We have been anything but aggressive thus far in terms of results. And many want to suggest it isn't appropriate for fans to be upset at the progress thus far because FA isn't over. I don't disagree that good can still come, but to make suggestions that things are proceeding as they should is out of touch. It is THAT sentiment that put us at 2-14.

OK, so you are saying that someone like me (living in Wisconsin, buying NFL Sunday Ticket to see the Titans, buying Titans gear, occasionally coming to Nashville for a weekend of hotel stays and restaurant/bar patronage prior to a game) would have little or no effect on the bottom line if I stopped all of the above due to loss of interest? What about me multiplied by a few magnitudes? What about if you add in season ticket holders that stop being so, putting game tickets on the open market where prices will largely drop?

Sorry, not buying that argument. Like I said, making money on a crappy franchise with no indication of improvement is a 3-5 year plan. After that, it becomes an issue IMO.

Also, IMO team valuation is more based on potential earnings....which, again, is largely based on fan excitement. Why else do ownership groups often buy teams and quickly move them?

We F ed up on Levitre..I hate that punk for how he came here and played. He was the top guard in FA that year. At least Warmack improved over time. Levitre was already an NFL caliber Guard. The Oher signing was just ridiculous.

If what you are suggesting is true, why do owners move their franchises to new markets?

Kenny Stills is supposedly on the trading block. He can take the top off of a defense.

Only fault I see in those signings was a possible lack of due diligence in discovering Levitre's knee issues and Oher's precipitous decline in performance. They WERE both considered upper echelon before they were allowed to hit the market. I think that is where savvy GM's, especially those that are "well networked" distinguish themselves.

Do you guys think were scared of big physical corners? We don't seemed to have entertained browner or Cromartie but instead like little cbs who get mossed.

The fault in the Levitre deal was the deal itself. He got $20 million more than the next best guard in the market, but we want aggression, amiright?
