Rumor Titans to be aggressive in free agency

According to http://overthecap.com/salary-cap/tennessee-titans cutting Levitre with a post June 1st designation will save us $6.5million and and only burn $2.1million in dead money. Why is he still on the roster?

 

Making sure we can acquire a FA or draftee to suitably replace him. If not, we keep him and pray he miraculously gets better.

 

Should have kept oher and cut lev loose, my opinion, panthers picked up oher but don't know a team that would want lev at this point

He really excelled in the 3-4 down there. He already got a taste of this **** show though, and I doubt he'd want to come back for more...

 

Dan Williams signs with raiders. Can someone explain to me how we didn't even attempt to get this guy? He went to college at Tennessee, was drafted by Whiz and we blatantly need a NT. Our coaches can't really think we are all set with SLH.

 

Because SLH has a 4.7 cap hit this year. They probably see no reason to pay someone else that kind of money also when they have SLH and Woods under contract.

 

Agreed. SLH is not the best NT, but they made multiple comments last year that they liked him a lot. Jones played well in the few minutes he got and LeBeau had Wood for a few years as well. Maybe he thinks he can still make a difference. If we add L. Williams, it will definitely make our NT look better.
